Well, if itching is his problem, I have an idea that might work, though
it's a bit odd. Denorex has the best anti-itch medicine I've been able to
find. You could try washing his affected areas with the shampoo (leave it
on a little while even, if you can). And in the colder weather, you could
try to get him to wear gloves or mittens to bed so it would be harder for
him to scratch.

Hello Debra,
My heart goes out to you and your little boy. I've had severe eczema
since the age of one year old and just recently experienced a cure (I"m
51 now). The flax oil WILL help in time. My son's pediatrician, Dr.
Fleiss in LA always gives flaxoil to his little patients when they have
skin condition. The results are almost always excellent.

Food also are often the cause of eczema as you have already discoved
with your son. Pagano explains in his book why nightshade vegetables
(tomato, potato, eggplant, peppers) cause eczema. I have stopped eating
these food for the past several years despite the fact that I absolutely
adore all of them.

My grandmother and parents always tried to prevent me from scratching
and even tied my hands to the bed. This is DISASTROUS! I found out later
<!--more-->
that scratching DOES NOT CAUSE THE ECZEMA TO BECOME WORSE AT ALL, to the
contrary. Fluid would build and accumulate under the skin causing
swelling and intense itching. This fluid is toxic and is seeking a WAY
OUT OF THE BODY. Scratching allows those toxins to get out more rapidely
by opening the skin. But if scratching is prevented, the fluid or toxins
would come out anyway sooner of later.

I strongly recommend that you seek a consultation with a homeopath for
your son.
Please keep in touch. I'll be glad to help any way I can. I feel so
sorry for those babies!

There is a great website with people dealing with same issues as you are The
url is:

Dr. Pagano says that eczema is caused by leaky gut syndrome and this board
has a lot of info about LGS.
