Hi Debra,
This is Shirley. It is possible that your son could be allergic to
flaxoil, but I had never heard of this sort of allergic reaction before.
You can call Barleans flaxoil 800 445-3529 for support and advice.

I have suggested in the past that you take your son to see a homeopath
or a naturopath. I credit homeopathy and naturopathy for jump starting
the healing process in my severe case of eczema, which I had suffered
from since I was one year old. My parents had taken me to see doctors
after doctors, year after year with no result. Only cortisone was able
to SUPPRESS (not cure) my eczema, but in the process it nearly killed me
with its horrendous side effects.

Best wishes for your son.

HI,
You mentioned dead sea salts, what reputable brand would you recommend? Is
this usually purchased at a health food store?

Thanx for your time,

Hello Debra,

I have a 2 year old daughter who was just
diagnosed with psoriasis/dermatitis. It seemed to start as a diaper rash
that got progressively worse, torso arms legs face etc. The progression
was slow. But one day i looked at her and got a "panic" feeling.
"Something is wrong , I have got to do something!". Our D.O. put her on
antibiotics and she got worse. He sent us to a Dermatologist who put her
on hydrocortisone cream which helped some. But I knew that he was just
treating the symptom and not the root cause. I did some research and
found out that many cases of psoriasis are food related. I put my
daughter on a bean/ rice diet with water. Within one week the rash had
decreased by 75%. Over Thanksgiving we were at relatives and we let her
off the diet and the rash slowly came back just as before. We got home
put her back on the strict diet and the rash is slowly receding.
<!--more-->
This is not a scientific study, we are still learning, maybe this would
be worth a try with your son.

There is very high possibility that your son have bowel parasites.

Start treating him with parasite killing herbs (tincture made from: wormwood,
black walnut, cloves, grapefruit kernel extract, olive leafe extract, cayenne...
).
Mix tincture with fruit or vegetable juice.
Include in his diet few apple pits, apricot pits and similar foods that also
kills parasites.
Improve hygiene.

Avoid orange juice !

Check also his blood type, and avoid all the other foods that he may have
problem to tolerate.

<!--more-->
Check also alignment of his vertebra and of the cranial bones (chiropractor).

Make sure he don't get any refined sugar or honey.
Avoid all foods with sugar, aspartame, MSG, and all other junk foods.
Choose organic foods.

Eczema is sign of toxin elimination. It can be either toxins from the food,
parasites, air, either nutritional deficiency that is preventing natural
detoxification or any combination of the above.

Start also to regularly treat his feet (reflexotherapy).
Learn reflexotherapy and shiatsu (acupressure) and treat him every day.
Try also homeophatic remedies.
There are plenty things to try before you start treating him with
medications.

Best of health

My excema is definitely related to Candida overgrowth. Pau d'arco kills the
candida fungus. You also need a friendly bacteria supplement like
acidophylis to restore the balance in your digestive tract.

Someone mentioned the herb pau d'arco. I have no idea if it's of use. From
what I know the basic problem is the immune system, maybe it wouldnt' hurt to
give him extra vitamins and minerals. Good luck.

I wrote awhile back about my son (2.5yrs) who has eczema. He is allergic to
milk, eggs and corn and we've eliminated those from his diet for months now, no
change in the eczema. (Although I think if he were eating them it would probably
be much worse.)

I've been giving him flax oil for at least 2 months now, no change. I recently
started trying to give him flax/borage oil gel caps and cod liver oil and the
eczema is getting worse and spreading over his body. It used to be just on his
wrists and hands but now it's on his arms, legs, and more recently his face!!!
UGH!!!! We've used cortizone sparingly but it really doesn't seem to do that
much. Maybe we don't use it enough.
<!--more-->

I'm starting to freak out. I don't want to pump him with drugs but what
alternatives do I have? I also have a 1 month old baby and all of this is really
getting to be too much for dh and I.

I feel backed into a corner, like I have to help my poor son. I have to do
something for him. Nothing is working. I'm sure there is some key but we haven't
stumbled on it yet. I'm ready to use the drugs. Can anyone help?
