Site about a treatment for Psoriasis Natural

Monday, March 31st, 2003

A really good friend of mine found this site about a natural
treatment for Psoriasis. As most you have probably seen online etc it
is not cheap. And most Doctors wont prescribe it , as it is sold over
the counter. I would try some of these so called remedies if my
insurance covered the cost (I only pay 5 dollar a precription) .

Jewelweed Soap

Monday, March 31st, 2003

I’m new on this list. I’ve not read many of the posts but the ones that I
have read have mentioned this Jewelweed soap. I don’t have eczema,
(though, my sister does), but I have something odd, unexplainable and
uncommon. It may be a type of acne but it doesn’t behave nor look like
the common garden variety acne. I’ve been to eight doctors. And,
eight doctors have thrown one prescription after another at me and
still, I have this bizarre skin condition. Might Jewelweed soap help?

Pictures - I think that’s a great idea, put a face to the
name. Although I don’t have a scanner so if you want to know what
Guy Smiley looks like you’ll have to watch next weeks
episode of ‘America’s Most Wanted.’ And if you’re still looking for the
perfect man I have three words: Monster Truck Rallys.

I thought it was interesting how Nastasya brought up the
subject of being over critical of ourselves and others.
This is a perfect description of myself. As a musician I
find myself over-analyzing and over criticizing my own
playing, as well as others. Although, I was never brought
up being told I wasn’t good enough, quite the opposite. I
am an only child so there wasn’t anyone picking on me and the only thing
dramatically influencing my psyche were the damn accordion lessons (the
nightmares are beginning to subside).

Herbs for Psoriasis & Eczema

Wednesday, March 26th, 2003

I did some offline research on jewelweed and psoriasis today and
the results are listed below.

In Infopedia2, I found:

Balsam (Impatiens)
The garden balsam, or impatiens, is I. balsamina, of which cultivated
forms have been developed. I. capensis and I. pallida are called
jewelweed.

In The Herb Book by John Lust, I found:

Poison Ivy (Oak) Remedies

Euell Gibbons has had excellent results with a jewelweed decoction,

Well, I know everyone brings their computer problems to me, but if I’m
stuck I’m usually on my own, but that’s a matter of expertise and not
really due to a personality trait.

Funny you should bring this up. Just today, as I was leaving work, one of
the other girls lost her car key. It wasn’t like it was anyone I knew real
well, but after I’d punched out and put my coat on, I was still scanning
the floor for that blasted key! I don’t think I do this so I don’t have to
deal with my problems — my problems are still going to be there. I think
it’s an effort to be helpful so people will like me instead of make fun of me.

Thanks for the pic. You look like a fun person! I’d send one of myself,
but the only one of me that I like is the ultrasound! ;)

chamomile

Monday, March 24th, 2003

i used "kiss my face" brand olive oil and chamomile
soap and it helped keep the dry patches off. I bought
some olive and aloe soap (same brand) but it’s not as
effective as the chamomile… but yeah, definitely
give it a try.

Hi Mindy, it breaks my heart to know that so many other people
suffer from this awful skin desease, but it is also comforting
to be able to share with people who really know what it’s like.
One of my sons is having some problems on his legs and I could just
cry for him.I’ve never taken tegison and i guess the soriatane and
light treatments are helping because it’s not quite as bad as when i
first went off of Neoral. My colesteral was also very high but they
never said that the Neoral could cause that, but i was always
suspicious. I actually bought some bag balm today, I’ll let you know
if it’s any good.
