soriatane
This is for Carol,Saints2261, I am also new to this site, and have suffered
with poriasis for many, many years. I am currently taking soriatane with three
light treatments a week. Its getting slightly better. Have you ever taken
methotrexate or Neoral? Both are pretty potent, but they both completely cured
the arthritus and psoriasis, problem was with the regular blood tests, had to
take me off metho. years ago and just a few months ago off of Neoral. I’ve never
tried flax seed oil but am ready to give it a try. I couldn’t believe how fast
it came back and how bad as soon as I stopped taking Neoral.

Hi Jody,
Yes, I have taken Methotrexate before with little results except for
making me sick. I don’t believe I have ever heard of Neoral. I have just
finished my second week of 25mg of Soriatane and had blood work done today.
If everything checks out, the doctor wants to increase the dosage to 50mg
daily. I am still hopeful at this point.

Hi Jody,
I have been on Neoral but i have been playing with my dosage……..I should
be doing 400 mg but went to 200mg…….no good…..need to go back to
400….I will be going off it soon, maybe before it comes right back because
i notice it does when you lower the dosage, i should try soriatane and the
light boxes……wht a pain going 3 times a week………..Tell me about
soriatane…….I was on tegison years ago and had a reaction ……is this
what took the place of tegison………Is it a vitamin D therapy? I hope and
pray daily that something somehow comes to us who suffer from this dreadful
dis-ease….Being single also……it stifles your romantic life to say the
least…………anybody want to talk about it? Be Well, Mindy
PS. Neoral helps but because of it….I am on blood pressure med….affects
my cholesterol as well and I am on lipitor……..I am a walking drug
store……….Love to hear from everybody……

Mindy,
I’m single too and have psoriasis. It’s horrible feeling to go out on a date
and have to hide your skin from people. Sometimes I feel like people are
looking at me like I’m a leper or something. The tanning booth helps and I
also take methotrexate with has helped me out a lot. I’m scared to go off it
because I don’t want my ugly spots to come back. I’ve tried everything from
diet to lifestyle change. I found out that psoriasis runs in my family.

Hi Carol, like i said i’m new to this so you’ll probably see my
message to Mindy too. I don’t even know if i’m doing this right!
I am taking 50 mg. of Soriatane with the light treatments and it is
helping a little. It is such a miserable desease.Have either of you
tried flax seed oil. I noticed several saying it worked. I’ll
probably try it sometime.
