mercury
Hi
I just wanted to say something about removing mercury. I have been away so
if I am missing a thread of ‘chat’ please forgive me!
I know a bit about mercury poisoning because my partner has MS and MS is
often linked with mercury poisoning and dental amalgam.
If you are going to have your amalgam fillings removed then it is absolutely
vital you go to a dentist who knows what they are doing. The fillings need
to be removed in such a way that as little mercury is spilt as possible. The
mercury in your fillings vapourises 24 hours a day but this is speeded up
when you eat hot food (or drink hot drinks). When a dentist drills into
fillings the mercury vapourises very quickly and is inhaled by the patient.
A dentist who knows what they are doing will put extractors in your mouth
that suck out as much of the mercury vapours as possible. They will also
extract the mercury as it drops into your mouth ( you don’t want to swallow
it!). Also - they will be able to give you appropriate chelating agents -
which help flush the mercury out of your system.
It isn’t as scary as this sounds - it is very straightforward - but you need
to take the appropriate measures. In my experience - few conventional
dentists will do this as a matter of course because few of them accept that
mercury really is a problem.
Having had your fillings removed it is crucial that you then embark on a
program to flush out the mercury from your body - it won’t leave on it’s own.
This can take a while. My partner has been flushing the mercury out for 18
months and still has high levels. She also has lead and cadmium poisoning.
There are various ways of flushing out the mercury and using DMSA is the best
I have come across. It is important not to do it too quickly.
It is definitely worth doing though! Mercury is dreadful stuff - it is the
second most toxic substance known to man after Plutonium! It has to be
disposed of in containers marked toxic and following set protocols - but for
some reason it is ok to put it in our mouths! Makes no sense to me at all.
Best wishes
