oils

Sunday, April 20th, 2003

I have had eczema on my face for several years now and have tried
many things on my skin in addition to diet.I am now on the er4ybt
diet witch seems to be the best thing yet, although it is very hard to
adhere to 100%.One thing I also discovered recently is neem oil. There
is a comercial cream preperation that some people have great success
with, although I reacted to an ingredient in that.I then tried mixing
a small amount of pure neem oil with jojoba oil 2-10 ratio, and put
this on my spots twice a day.It works as well as a weak cortisone
cream for me.My friend who has Psoriasis on her neck says the neem
cream cleared her patches up completely. But they do come back if you
don’t
keep using it.That is why I think diet and cleansing must be used for
a true cure or lasting result.

Is is eczema?

Saturday, April 19th, 2003

My 14 y/o daughter had a small, dry patch on her face on and off for
most of her life. It was about the size of an M&M. We always just
used a little cortisone for a few days when it got flaky & itchy.
Sometimes it would go away for a while only to reappear in another
area of her face a few weeks or months later (usually her chin or
mouth area). In the last few months the patches have multiplied
dramatically. She usually has about 10-15 on the lower half of her
face. If she puts Westcort cream and moisterizer on them, they don’t
itch or flake so much, but she is left with small bumps (similar
pimples but no head). They don’t hurt, just itch and feel tight and
dry she says. The pediatrician dx’d eczema a few wks ago and gave us
the Westcort cream which does control the spots, but they never
really go away. The spots are slightly raised. Does this sound like
eczema? It does flake and itch when she forgets about the Westcort.
Another doctor said she shouldn’t keep using the cortisone cream

Vitamin

Saturday, April 19th, 2003

Hi,
I had my little girl taking a generic, grocery store brand, daily, chewable
vitamin. Geesh, I can’t remember the name of the grocery store it was from. :( The vitamins were all different colors and it turns out, food coloring was
one of the major things she was allergic to. Although she never reacted
this way to the chewable vitamins I had her on before we moved. They were
the generic brand from Revco pharmacy.
Now that she has cleared up so much, I can easily see when she touches
something she is effected by. A couple days ago, she took a bite of a slice
of wheat bread and, instantly, her cheeks got bright red. I wonder what
happened to her that suddenly she started reacting this way to foods when
she never did before?
The good news is that she reacts so quickly, I can just about hand her the
allergen and see what she reacts to.

Cured!

Thursday, April 17th, 2003

Hi! I joined this list hoping to find help with my 4 year old who recently
came up with eczema. It’s been 6 months of rash and efforts to rid her of
it. I tried diet changes, detergent change, steroid creams, etc.
Her rash gets bad every day at dinner but I don’t make the same foods every
day! Then, I looked at the one thing she eats every day at dinner - her
vitamin! She got a new brand 6 months ago when we moved to a new state!
I threw that out and she has improved every day since! Yay!

Jason, re: Bentonite

Jason,

Thanks for all that information. You mentioned it shouldn’t
be used with other drug therapys, does this include
chelation therapy (intravenous)?

Thanks,

clay for ingestion

Tuesday, April 15th, 2003

Hello;

I’ve been taking a type of clay called Bentonite, mixed with
water and psyllium husk. I mix that in 10 oz of liquid and
follow that with another 10oz of water. Has anyone else
had experience with this? It keeps things flowing, lets
just leave it at that.

Colonics

Has anyone on the list tried regular colonics to
alleviate psoriasis? People have suggested it
to me, but I haven’t tried it yet.

mercury

Monday, April 14th, 2003

Hi

I just wanted to say something about removing mercury. I have been away so
if I am missing a thread of ‘chat’ please forgive me!

I know a bit about mercury poisoning because my partner has MS and MS is
often linked with mercury poisoning and dental amalgam.

If you are going to have your amalgam fillings removed then it is absolutely
vital you go to a dentist who knows what they are doing. The fillings need
to be removed in such a way that as little mercury is spilt as possible. The
mercury in your fillings vapourises 24 hours a day but this is speeded up
when you eat hot food (or drink hot drinks). When a dentist drills into
fillings the mercury vapourises very quickly and is inhaled by the patient.
A dentist who knows what they are doing will put extractors in your mouth

Hair

Sunday, April 13th, 2003

Here’s a question:

I just noticed (duh!) that my hair (always fine) is growing in thicker. I
don’t know what to attribute this good news to. It could be:
1. Getting psoriasis under control (for first time in a long time, knock on
wood).
2. Eliminating most "avoids" according to ER4YT diet.
3. Being pre-menopausal.

Wondering if anyone else has suddenly noticed they have more hair, and if
they know or can guess why?

Hi Olivia, I was wondering what toiletries were good. And how you

Hi Natasya

I get my toiletries from a company called Neways - it is all mail order. If
you are in the US then I think you can order through their website
(www.neways.com) - or in the UK then their phone number is 01480 861 764 (I
am in the UK). I buy the products wholesale because that makes it much
