Hel, my hair

Thursday, April 10th, 2003

I had the same problem with my hair falling out with using the cortisone on
my scalp. I get excellent results with using Paul Mitchell’s Tea tree oil
shampoo 3 times a week. Hope this helps. I’ve gotten some tea tree oil to
try on some of my patches. Had anyone tried the tea tree oil before?

Help, my hair

Thursday, April 10th, 2003

The DR gave me Temovate for my scalp, but if anything, it has gotten worse.
My hair is starting to come out with the flakes now, more and more. What do I
do? Any suggestions? Will my hair grow back?

Psoriasis/Diet???

Wednesday, April 9th, 2003

Hi everyone! I’m fairly new to the mailing list. I don’t have psoriasis
myself but my son does and I have spent some time trying to learn all I can
about the disease the last couple of years. I am fairly convinced with all
the reading I have done and by reading comments from this group over the
last few months that diet is one of the major contributing factors to this
disease and hopefully offers the most promising avenues for cure.

To this end, I would like to pose a question to the group. I know that
around the turn of the century both heart disease and cancer were fairly
rare diseases and it was only after our current western lifestyle really
took hold that these disease occurences went ballistic. Two questions:

1) Does anyone know what the incidence rate of psoriasis was during the
early 1900’s? If not, any ideas for how to find out?

Shea butter

Tuesday, April 8th, 2003

Hi,

I’m not sure if this has been discussed lately. Has anyone had a positive
result using shea butter as a part of their treatment?

This would be for our 2 year old eczema baby.

TIA,
Laura

mercury fillings

Tuesday, April 8th, 2003

Nastasya;

I have no mercury fillings. I have had only one cavity in
my life, and that came around 3 years ago. The filling is
the same colour as my teeth, I don’t even know what it is.
Do you have many fillings?

The chelation is going well, #12 last Monday. Check this
out - as far as the blood type diet goes, this whole time I
thought I was type A. I was following quite strictly and
was bummed because of no rapid improvements. I got my labs
back today - I’m type O negative! Now the question is can
I cut back on breads…… or maybe the real question should
be can I survive another New Orleans summer in jeans. My
out of town friends just left, so now I can stop eating crap

Pagano’s book

Tuesday, April 8th, 2003

Dear Lisa,

While you may not find Pagano’s book in Egypt, Have you
tried Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk (british site) ?
They sell his book, and would have no problem sending it to you. I am sure
that there are others in Europe as well that would ssend it to you. Hope
that helps.

allergy rash

Sunday, April 6th, 2003

Hi everyone,

The psoriasis patches on my body appear to have some kind of allergy rash
underneath them, which is more prone to flaring up and becoming irritated
than the actual psoriasis at present.

I am avoiding foods which I have noted will affect it and likewise
ingredients of products, eg. I cannot use aloe vera. However does anyone
know of any natural remedy for this or at least to ease it? I have heard
mention of apple vinegar, is anyone familiar with this as a remedy or why
does this work?

thanks for your help

a message from the eczema kid

> Has anyone looked into ‘Eat Right For Your Type?’

I have. I even bought the book and read it. the thing
is that it makes a lot of sense but is hard to take up
completely. The Author (D’ Adamo) says the different
blood types react to the foods differently (ie. type O
may regard the substance ingested as a food while
type A reacts to it as if it were a poison). There are
lots of lists to memorize. D’Adamo splits the foods up
into three categories for the different blood types:
Beneficial, Food, and Avoid. The lists are so long
but i try to remember what I can… I basically
remember most of the "avoid lists" and try to
implement it in my diet. It is depressing/discouraging
to give up numerous foods at once so i am doing it
