New Here-Info on Soriatane??
Hi! My name is Angela and my husband’s name is Mike. He has severe
psoriasis. He is about to start treatment with Soriatane and we are
looking for some feedback about the effects of the drug. We have
researched and have only heard negatives. Is there anyone out there
with some more info? This is one of the last resorts. He has done
all topical steroids, along with Tazorac and Dovonex,Methotrexate,
and macrolide antibiotics. We are trying to get a light box for the
house if we can convince the insurance to pay. We can’t afford for
him to miss work three times a week to travel an hour each way for
treatment. Sorry so long–Any info is welcome.
Thanks!!

Hi Angela,
I think Soriatane is a great medication. I started it about five
months ago and my psoriasis cleared up more than it ever has. Unfortunately,
I had major surgery about a month ago and had to go off of Soriatane for that
time period because the doctor said it would slow the healing process.
However, I am now back on it and starting to clear again. Any more questions
I would be happy to answer. Good luck.

> Hi, my name is Jody and I’ve been taking Soriatane for a few
months. I was taking two capsules a day, 25mg each but asked my derm
if I could cut it down to one capsule a day. The side effects weren’t
drastic but annoying. My finger nails were getting shorter and
shorter and peeling, the bottoms of my feet started peeling pretty
bad. I also had some hair loss, just slightly on the top of my head
but it worried me, my derm gave me samples of Rogaine to use and it
seems to have worked. The psoriasis was almost completly gone, then
a few spots have come back since cutting down on the dose, but not
bad. I also go three times a week for light treatments, would also
love to get a home unit. Its a pain running in all the time. Good
luck.
