seborrhic dermatitis

Hello,
I am new to the group and would like some advise re my dermatitis
(S.D) on my face.
I am using 1% Neutrocort on my face which helps the scaling but my
face remains red,and have been using it for about 18 months now with
maybe some improvement
I have read that a beta blocker could help with flushing as I have
always flushed very easily.
Would appreciate some help, thanks
I am currently seeing a dermatologist

    You have been using a cortizone based cream for 18 months?????

    It is very dangerous to use such a product on your
    face.Dermatologists recommend it only for short periods of
    time,and only for selected cases.I doubt that your doctor knows
    what you are doing.Go and ask him!
