SUPPLEMENT BORAGE, FLAX OR PRIMROSE AT LEAST THREE EVERYDAY. THIS
HELPS ALOT. WHAT FOODS SHOULD I EAT MORE OF TO HELP MY ECZEMA? AND
WHAT FOODS SHOULD I TOTALLY AVOID? I KNOW THAT WHEN I EAT CHEESE OR

The book Protein Power Lifeplan tells about omega-3 oils and other foods
that are good and bad for skin diseases. There is also a small, $5.00
pocket-version in the bookstores that lists the gram counts of omega-3 oils
    in most foods.

    Good luck

Omega-3 oil is primarily found in fish, but is also found in flax
seed, borage, evening primrose, walnuts, green leafy vegetables, and
cod liver oil. The types of fish having the greatest quantity of
omega-3 oil are albacore tuna, salmon, brook trout, rainbow trout,
mackerel, herring, shark, Atlantic halibut, sardines, and anchovies.

    Hello Everyone,

I haven’t posted anything in awhile so I will catch you up to speed. I
am 32 years old and have severe eczema from 6 weeks of age until about
3 years old. Today I suffer from rare eczema break outs but have
extremely dry skin. I have a 2 year old son who has severe eczema from
head to toe since he was 6 weeks old. We have tried everything and of
course I have done tons of research. We even used the coconut oil and
olive oil but they didn’t work for us.
The reason for my post is something that I have recently found out. It
is about Omega 3 oils. I have read so many things about needing these.
My son and I are both allergic to fish and seafood. I have been giving
my son a tsp. of flaxseed oil for about a month and his skin was not
so dry but has been really inflamed. He has also been a lot itchier
than before. I am taking Evening Primrose oil which helps with my dry

skin and decided to try some flaxseed oil with it. I was starting to
have problems with eczema breaking out on my face and also my hand. I
very rarely get eczema patches these days. I finally figured out that
everytime I would take the flaxseed oil this would happen. I quite
taking the flaxseed and my face was fine and so was my hand. I then
realized that maybe we are allergic. I stopped giving it to my son
about 4 days ago and he is not so inflamed and itchy. I did some
research on Omega 3 oils and what foods they are in. Of course fish
(we are allergic to) flaxseed oil (seems we are allergic to it too)
pumpkin seeds (they cause a small reaction in myself but have never
given them to my son) and also walnut oil (which we are allergic to).
So, after all this being allergic. Could we actually be allergic to
Omega 3 oil? Obvioulsly we are defeciant in these oils, could this be
causing the eczema and dry skin, seems so. I thought this was
intersting for us. So if any of you are allergic to fish, seafood or
tree nuts and are taking omega 3 oils look into it. Also I read
another source of Omega 3 in food is Milk, Eggs and bread. Of course
my son is allergic to all of these as well..
I also wanted to tell you a quick note on the products we started
using. We started using Melaleuca products. It has only been a little
over 2 weeks but so far I am happy with the results. The renew lotion
is great and has really helped our skin. I will keep you posted on how
it goes with it but we haven’t used any corisone’s in this time period
and that was the only thing before that I could semi-control my son’s
    eczema.

    Karena,
Your e-mail is so timely for me. I just found melalueca myself and am going to
convert my home to a toxic-free home to help my psoriasis, and have also ordered
the Renew lotion and a bath product.
You must be so relieved to have found something that is natural and is working.
Can you share which products did you use that were helpful??

    Jean,

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I’m
not sure what happened with the posting in the group
but I got like 60 in one day and was weeding through
them and finally came acrossed your email. I started
using Melaleuca products the beginning of January. My
son has severe eczema from head to toe, scalp also
pretty bad. I use the renew bath oil and lotion on
him. I love the lotion but not sure about the bath
oil. It is pretty nice but not really moisturizing I
believe. I think it may be just as useful to use some
drops of the Melaleuca oil in the tub. I still use the
oil in my son’s bath every night though. When we first
used Melaleuca his skin went crazy for about 2 weeks

or a little longer. I thought it wasn’t going to work
for us but I stuck with it to give it at least a month
or so. We were using cortisone on him nightly and with
the Melaleuca I have only had to use it about 3 times
in about 6 weeks. I do think Melaleuca is really
helping. I use most of the cleaning products and of
course the laundry detergent. I don’t use their fabric
softner however. I am waiting on some all natural
sheets that you add and reuse that have no chemicals.
I read where someone used the dishwasher det. on their
toilet bowl and I gave it a try and it was wonderful.
I couldn’t believe how well it cleaned the toilet.
I have just started giving my son Provex so I hope
that will help too. I am slowly using their products
and mostly only ordering the 35 point limit a month so
I haven’t had a chance to use a lot. I have an order
coming with the naturals Melaleuca oil shampoo which I
read was great for the scalp. I hope it will help his.
I also heard the gold bar soap was great for eczema. I
have a trial size order on the way. I have extremely
dry skin myself and I am pleased so far with
everything. I ordered trial sizes of the Nicole Miller
products and like them. I haven’t tried any makeup yet
but will probably try so trials. I like that there is
some travel size things to try.
I am forwarding you a product testimonial that I found
interesting for a number of ailments.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you try anything
    different that helps you..

    Karena
