eczema getting much better
I have just started on a research study for a topically applied
ointment containing tacrolimus(an immunosuppressant that has been
proven in previous studies to not be absorbed into the blood stream.)
On Tuesday, I will go for my one month check up. Granted, I am not
normal yet…..but, the improvement is remarkable. I can actually
tolerate day to day life now….without crying and being sad because
I look like a monster.

I’m in that study also. However, it doesn’t seem to be able to help me. I
have had this bout of eczema on my fingers over 5 months now. This is by far
the worst and longest episode ever. My derm asked if I wanted to join the
study group. I have been in the study for 3 months now. Twice during the
study I had to get a shot of steroid (even though it is not allowed under the
rules of the study) because my fingers are so out of control. I will
continue with the study though.
I have seriously thought of cutting off my fingers if that would help. This
is so depressing.

Where on your fingers is the eczema? I had some under my fingernails. It
went away after I stopped eating excess carbohydrates and took some caprylic
acid capsules to kill the yeast in my system.
Good Luck
