reality check everyone !!

I am a sufferer of seborrheic dermatitis( 10 years now). Now much as I
hate it, I have accepted that I have a chronic skin condition. So many
people don’t want to accept that they have a ‘disease ‘of the skin.
Most people accept that conditions like arthritis, diabetes, crohns
disease,( to name but a few), are CHRONIC conditions and are likely to
continue to afflict them for the foreseeable future.
However when you talk about skin conditions, which in fact are
diseases in their own right,a lot of people seem to think that there
is an answer. Reading some of these messages, it’s almost laughable
the solutions which are put forward as ‘cures’. This obsession with
mercury fillings is, I believe, a total red herring! If it works then
why isn’t it widely known??
Call me a pessimist , but I believe that we all are suffering from a
diseased organ ( skin), no different from a disease of any other
organ. I agree that some things can alleviate the condition and

avoidance of some things can keep it under control. However thats all
we can do, keep it under control. Let’s be realistic and stop
clutching at straws!
Perhaps someday medical science will be able to eliminate certain
diseases but for now acceptance is something we need to do. Believe me
I’ve tried everything under the sun to help my skin, but it follows
its own little pattern, irrespective of what I do. I can only keep it
under control.
Good luck to you all, but please be realistic about your skin
complaint.

Cheers
Stephen

    ‘Stevo;’

I think the only thing laughable here is that you sign your email ‘cheers!’

    ironic! “Cheers??”  <g>
      Most of
us I believe realize that there is rarely ONE answer. The body is complex.
While it may be, I personally believe I have lived 37 years and various
aspects of my environment and lifestyle have probably contributed to this,
    along with hereditary weakness……

    Bingo.
