allergies and skin problems

I don’t have eczema or psoriasis like most people on this board, but
I have experience with some things people have mentioned and thought
I might contribute. I inherited allergies and skin problems from my
father. I developed acne in high school. It was well-controlled by
antibiotics until I could no longer tolerate any antibiotics.
Unfortunately, I now have chronic candidiasis and food and inhalant
allergies. I recently began an aggressive treatment of candidiasis–
my acne began clearing within a few days. My face is definitely not
clear, but there is a huge improvement. I would definitely recommend
special diet and anti-fungal medication for people with chronic skin
problems.

There has been talk about allergies–I am on a rotational diet, eat
all organic food and meat and avoid foods I’m allergic to. There is
an allergy test where they draw blood and then react the blood sample

with different food allergens. Avoiding my food allergies makes a
big difference in my overall health, and it could help some of you on
this list with your skin problems (though it hasn’t cleared my
acne). I recently noticed that my cheeks get red, rough and itchy
when I breathe certain chemicals. That gave me the idea to switch to
organic laundry detergent–this was also helpful for my skin.

I recently had a permanent retainer removed from my mouth and have
started metal detox b/c hair analysis showed nickel toxicity. I hope
this might help my acne, which is mostly around my mouth. Does
anyone have any experience with this? And, how long does it take
before detox side effects like fatigue and rash and nausea go away?

One more thing–I strongly believe that allergies are a major culprit
in many skin problems. As soon as my candidiasis and a couple of
other health problems are under control, I am planning to get EPD.
It is the only allergy treatment which can actually cure people of
their allergies, including food allergies. EPD stands for Enzyme
Potentiated Desensitization, for any who might want to research
that.

Before I close–someone was curious about UV treatment. My dad used
an ultraviolet lamp for his severe eczema when he was in college. It
would cure it for about a week and then it would always come back. I
wouldn’t recommend it because of UV rays and skin cancer, but it did
give my dad temporary relief.

Nastasya, I think you have problems with being underweight? I lose
tons of weight whenever I eat poorly or have candida flare-up. (I
weigh 92 now, but two months ago I weighed 85) Now that I’m on a
super-strict rotary diversified diet with no sugar, vinegar, hardly
any fruit, no wheat, etc. (I’m sure you know what the diet is) I’m
gaining one pound a week. It seems weird that I gain so much weight
on "health food", but I think that’s all I can absorb. One cookbook
I would recommend is "Allergy and Candida Cooking Made Easy" by
Sondra K. Lewis. I never would have had the dedication to the rotary
diet without this awesome cookbook. You would be surprised at how
much of the food actually tastes good.

I’m very interested in a shower purifier. Our water is bluish opaque
colored. I don’t drink or cook with it, but I know that washing with
it can’t be good. Where can you get one of these things? Also, do

they have one for a sink too? Cuz that’s where I wash my face.
Where can you get liquid zinc?

Back on weight–I think that bovine adrenal extract might help me
maintain weight, too. But I’m positive that diet helps.
