Forgot to mention…

Saturday, August 23rd, 2003

forgot to mention the use of paba. my natural healing book
recommended it. since my b complex contains it i did not buy it
seperately, but i may do so.

sunscreens (or blocks, dont remember which) used to contain paba but
most read ‘paba-free’ now due to complaints in the past, i believe
about skin irritation.

i have not found it in cream form, but its readily available at gnc’s
and other natural stores.

Long: Intro and Help

Saturday, August 23rd, 2003

hello to all

INTRO
i am a female in her 30’s and i just developed what my general med
doctor calls eczema about a year or so ago.

HISTORY
i actually think i first started developing skin problems a short
while before that. i had mild (usual level of) acne as a teen. but
for 90% of my life ive had wonderful skin. i rarely use anything on
my face. i eat what i want. and only cheap chocolates tend to break
me out. even then the breakouts are minor and last no more than a day
or so without using anything heavy to medicate. if anything, i will
use some baby lotion or cocoa butter cream on my face and neck, to
achieve that soft supple feel they speak of in the ads *grin*

Mercury Toxicity and Systemic Elimination Agents

Mercury Toxicity and Systemic Elimination Agents
Joseph Mercola, DO.

Abstract
This paper reviews the published evidence supporting amalgam
toxicity and describes practical and effective clinical techniques that
facilitate mercury elimination. A literature review is provided which
documents effective mercury elimination strategies to reduce mercury
toxicity syndromes.
Considering the weight of evidence supporting mercury toxicity, it would
seem prudent to select alternate dental restoration materials and
consider effective mercury elimination strategies if mercury toxicity is
present.

Key Words: amalgam and mercury toxicity; DMPS;

To all,
The Institute for Molecular Medicine is a research institution doing
work in infections that cause or increase the severity of chronic
diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and chronic fatique.
"These microorganisms, principally mycoplasmas and other rather
primitive bacteria, although not well known agents, are now considered
important emerging pathogens in causing chronic diseases and may be
important cofactors in some illnesses, including AIDS and other
immunosuppressive diseases." "Several studies have shown that
mycoplasmal infections lead to increased levels of proinflammatory
cytokines."

Some of the organisms they study have been found in the past few years
to play an important role in asthma:
"The atypical bacteria–specifically, C.

Acne, diets &"Acne Allergy" or "Acne_lergy"

Thursday, August 21st, 2003

Hi all,
Let me introduce myself my name is Abdullah Aljunied
from Singapore. I am 49 years old and an electrical
engineer by training but have been a businessmen most
of my lift till now. Yes 49 and I am still having
acne problem but not very serious. The severity of my
acne is propotional to my stress level. I am no
doctor or an expert in acne but we all have our logic
and experience as a resource to try to solve the
puzzle in our daily life be it acne or anything else.

Having said that I believe that diet(not diet to loose weight, but
the types of food we eat)do affect not only our skin but also our
whole body. Dermatologist will always say that there is no scientific
proof that "this food" or "that food" "causes" acne to flare-up.

Experience with Eczema specialists?

Sunday, August 17th, 2003

I don’t post here often but lurk regularly :)
Basically, after over 2 years (this time round) of having this wonderful
blessing known as eczema and asking my GP a few times to refer me on to a
specialist, I resorted to writing a letter describing my condition (in short,
it’s on my hands and a lot of the time they’d be less painful if I just set
them on fire! :(
I’ve also tried all manner of creams including most recently the expensive
PS98 Advanced (14quid for a 50ml bottle), which did very well for about 3
days but then it was back to square -1, like most of the creams I’ve tried.

I then made an appt to see my GP early last month, ending up seeing someone
else but isn’t that always the way, and then he referred me on to my local
hospital but said that it’d take at least 6 months before I could see someone

Protopic Available Now?

Sunday, August 17th, 2003

Anyone know if this medication is now available by prescription? And if
you have used it, how effective is it? I realize it’s only been
approved recently so it may be too early to be asking. Thanks for any
input.

DEERFIELD, IL — November 17, 2000 — The United States Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) Dermatologic and Ophthalmic Advisory Committee
found Fujisawa Healthcare’s Protopic (tacrolimus) ointment to be safe
and effective for the treatment of moderate to severe atopic
dermatitis, known as eczema.
