Updated food oil analysis file

Saturday, October 25th, 2003

Hi All,

I have updated my excel oil analysis file with 13 different oils and fats.

The Plaque Formation Index (based on the sensitivity of the fat / oil to
oxidation, based on the number of double bonds
in the fatty acid) goes from 32 for Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) to 1,035 for Flax
oil. Olive oil rates 363. While intakes
of high levels of Vit E will of course reduce free radical peroxidation of the
mono and poly fatty acids, the relative
nature of the peroxidative risk to the long chain mono & poly fatty acids being
transported in LDL cholesterol stays the
same.

Or to make it simple. It is only peroxidized (attacked by free radical) long

LCF:SMCF and Peroxidative Index of various food o

Saturday, October 25th, 2003

Hi All,

Here is a Excel comparison I have just finished looking at various food oils
based on two factors:

1) The ratio of the total of long chain fats (LCF) (14 and longer) to the total
of short and medium chain fats (SMCF)
(12 and shorter). Fatty acids 12 chain length and shorter do not need
lipoprotein / cholesterol for transport around
the body, don’t need carnitine for transport across cell membranes and are not
stored as body fat. Lauric (12:0) also
is strongly anti-bacterial and anti-viral.

2) The Peroxidative Index of various oils based on the number of double bonds
and the ease these double bonds can be

NAET

Friday, October 24th, 2003

I haven’t posted since last summer, when I started an allergy
treatment program called NAET (Nahumbripad Allergy Elimination
Treatment). I was waiting until I could really know whether or not
it works. Well, I’m still not 100% better, but I have seen drastic
improvements in my allergies, skin, and overall health. I can eat a
lot more foods, my face isn’t oily anymore and doesn’t get flushed
nearly as often as before, I rarely get nauseated or have diarrhea,
my acne is gradually healing, and I have the strength to withstand a
day in a polluted city or stressful, busy days without needing to
spend a day in bed, exhausted.

Before beginning NAET, my chemical sensitivities were steadily
increasing and limiting my life. For example, I couldn’t read a
magazine without my face turning bright right (and hot and itchy). I
would itch all over and get bloodshot eyes when I walked into

12 STEPS TO RAW FOODS by Victoria Boutenko

I would not agree with everything written here, but it makes an interesting
reading.

People are different, and not everyone needs to go 100% raw.

Like to feel sensual? Come in!

Thursday, October 23rd, 2003

Like to feel sensual?
I do. This is why I do sensual bodywork, I enjoy it.
A pretty sexy blond with beautiful body and soft touch
that I perfected during some 5 years of practice. The
sweetest sensations that will make your body melt, a
very relaxing experience!
Also, this bodywork will make you more attractive to
women and a better lover. How? It make you more sensual,
and this is what girls like to begin with.
I work with women too, with the same effect: the
bodywork will make you very sexy and attractive to
every man in the world.
Me and my partner, we work with couples, with similar
effect: you will want to pleasure each other like never
before.

Malaria and Cancer Cells Yield to the Same Garlic

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2003

Garlic may not ward off vampires, but scientific research indicates that it does
provide a number of health benefits,
exhibiting antifungal and antibacterial properties, and seeming to help lower
the risk of cardiovascular disease and
certain kinds of cancer. Animal studies have also shown it to fight malaria.
Exactly how garlic works against such
disparate foes, however, has proved somewhat difficult to understand. To that
end, findings announced yesterday at the
annual meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in
Atlanta provide some insight. According to
the report, both malaria and cancer cells succumb to the same garlic compounds.

To probe garlic’s protective powers, Ian Crandall of the University of Toronto
and colleagues focused on compounds
called disulfides that are known to have antifungal, antibacterial and

Soybean phytoestrogen intake and cancer risk.

Tuesday, October 21st, 2003

Hi All,

Interesting Finnish study into the cancer protective phytoestrogens in soy.

Because many Western diseases are hormone-dependent cancers, we have postulated
that the Western diet, compared with a
vegetarian or semi-vegetarian diet, may alter hormone production, metabolism or
action at the cellular level.

Recently, our interest has been focused on the cancer-protective role of some
hormone-like diphenolic phytoestrogens of
dietary origin, the lignans and isoflavonoids.

The precursors of the biologically active compounds originate in soybean
products (mainly isoflavonoids but also

Eat to live, not live to eat.

Tuesday, October 21st, 2003

Hi All,

This summary of the recommendations for healthy eating by the American Heath
Association should cast serious doubt about
food conspiracy theories as I don’t think the very powerful US meat and dairy
producers would like the "cut down meat
and dairy, eat more veggies" message given here.

Note the bad rap frying gets. Well deserved!

Most of the prevailing chronic diseases in the world have an important
nutritional component by directly causing a
specific disease, enhancing the risk through phenomena of promotion, exerting a
beneficial effect in decreasing risk, or
preventing the disease.
