Hi,

I just found this list and I sympahize with all of you! I have pretty bad
eczema which constantly fluctuates, but is bad more often than not. I’ve had
it since college and I am now 30. I also have an allergy to latex and about
2 years ago it was discovered that I have common variable immune deficiency.
I currently receive IVIG for the immune problem. After these treatments got
going I did notice improvement in my skin until the last few months when it
got bad again. And right now I missed a few treatments due to moving and
having to get new insurance and Drs.
Also my family does have a history of asthma and one of my siblings has
psoriasis.

I recently moved from NY to Fl and was hoping the warm weather would help (I
once went to the Bahamas for a few days and my skin was perfect!). I also

Anybody ever tried Methotrexate for eczema & dermatitis? If so, did
it work? Are there side effects?

I believe that candida directly affects eczema. When we have our child on a
good
quality Primrose Oil, Flaxseed Oil and Vitamin E mixture, her eczema clears up
nicely. On the other hand when I run out of that and have to go a few days
without it
(Because we have it mixed especially for her by our pharmacist)….it comes
back….if
I have nystatin on hand…(powder) it too will clear it up. This is one reason
for my
correlation between the two. Eczema is a form of fungus and would definitely
fall
into a symptom of candida in my mind…another reason.

Introduce the good oils…(although I have heard mixed reviews on the flaxseed

Hi. My name is Renee.
My 13 yr old daughter has had reoccurring body breakouts since Dec.
2001.
She’s been to the Dr 5x with no help.
She’s been referred to a specialist on June 17th & we’ve been
already waiting for that appt for 1 month.
It started around her Belly button. It’s huge, red,scaly sometimes.
Oozes off & on. Looks Terrible!
She gets tiny red bumps all over her arms & genital area & chest.
Now her neck is like her stomach.And her face & eyes are erupted in
tiny,red bumps & blotches of red inflammation. Her eyes sting on &
off & light is starting to hurt her eyes.
She’s on Cortisteroids for the 5th time now & they never help.
She’s missed alot of school since Dec. and she’s so upset that
she’ll fail. The school doesn’t care about her condition.

hi ppl.
i have real bad eczema i’m 16 currently.. and eczema is really bothering me a lot.
i’ve been having eczema for 3 yrs now.. it went away for some time..
then came back.. it had been rather mild.. affecting only my
chest… but suddenly, this year, in janurary, it just burst out all
over the place.. making me feel quite depressed =/
i wonder what’s the cause of it.. i remember that in december last
year, i had a bicycle fall.. had a wound on each knee.. it took
quite some time to heal, abt 2 weeks. then green pus came out..
could that be the cause of my eczema proliferation? i’m currently
under the treatment of a chinese physician/herbalist.. he diagnosed
it as parasite infection at 1st.. he asked me to mix some kind of
powder with water .. and after 2 hrs, to drink a concoction of 1/2
cup lemon juice and 1/2 cup olive oil .. i did that, and my eczema

My daughter is four and she suffers from mild Asthma and Eczema.
She currently only needs Alburetrol on an as need basis (twice since
1/1/02) but her Eczema is getting worse. She’s on Elcon cream for
her nose outbreak and it’s not working. Any ideas?

i am new to this group and i’m wondering whether someone can help me
with my acne problem.

i’m 22 years old and i have had chronic acne for almost 7 years. I
have tried many kinds of medication and recently underwent an
antibiotic treatment for almost two years. ALthough the acne did
clear up to a certain extent, the doctor said that it would be
harmful to continue consuming antibiotics. My acne has since
returned and i am really in despair.

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone had any information on a sweetener called
XYLITOL? I was sent the a letter by a mother inquiring about it and I
couldn’t advise her much because I had no idea what this particular
sweetener was. I personally had not heard of it. I have attached a
portion of her letter (below) for you all to read. Any responses would
be greatly appreciated.
