Hi Sid, first of all i just want to say i'm sorry
that you are having to deal with this, i know how
taxing it can be. I have had psoriasis for the past
year and it has been so itchy and horrible that at
times it has been what i spend the majority of the day
thinking about. The dermatologists really can't help
they just prescribe temporary cures that are expensive
and have side effects and the symptoms return when you
stop w/ the meds. This past month I have started
eating a mostly raw food diet. Basically just organic
fruits and vegetables, some raw sprouted nuts and
beans. The first few weeks my skin and itchiness got
worse than it ever has. THis is supposedly a "healing
crisis" and part of the detox. The past few weeks it
has gotten a lot better. But i think healing is a
<!--more-->
non-linear process and it takes time. I also strongly
believe that your mental and emotional states are
completely connected to your physical body. This year
I went through a lot of stress and anxiety and it
seems like it all manifested on my skin. So i have
also been trying various mediation and yoga
techniques. I'm not sure what your emotional states
have been, but i'm sure that the stress about the acne
is tough and may cause more acne and can become a
vicious cycle. Thats how it was for me at least.
Well, i am by no means healed completely, but I have
gained some hope now that i will get over it
eventually and it is not as much a major part of my
life as it was before. I know your issue and mine are
very different, but i just thought i'd offer my story,
maybe something i said might stand out to you for
something you'd like to try. Even though my skin has
been a pain in the ass, i feel like it is my body
calling to me to treat it better and make some life
style changes. We have to listen to our bodies and
treat them w/ respect, we have to live with them for
the rest of our lives. Anyway, excuse my rambling...
but good luck and hang in there, i'm sure with some
time and patience it will get better! -maya

hi sid,my aunt told me it all depends on what goes in your mouth.it maybe the
same with acne as she has psoriasis, but i feel as she said ""it's the body's
warning system"".if there's a problem on the outside ...well maybe your doing
something on the inside that you shouldn't.i've allways admired people who can
drink and smoke with perfectly healthy skin.anyway maybe you should have an
alergic test test done on yourself and maybe that will reveal why your skin is
freaking out.

Trust me Sid, I have seen more Dermatologists and spent more money on
prescriptions than I care to think about. They will never help the real
underlying issue, which is that acne is a SYSTEMIC, chronic inflammatory
disease. In addition to this, all illnesses have an emotional/spirit connection
as well. Before a problem manifests in the physical body, it will first appear
in your energy field/emotional body. Trust me, I know. Acne and any disease has
to be addressed from a WHOLE PERSON perspective. No amount of creams or
supplements in the world will heal you on an energetic level. You are more than
just flesh and bone. You can waste your money with a dermatologist, but you will
not cure your acne. The skin is a window into the health of the other organs and
a mirror of our emotional health. Acne is just a messenger that something is
amiss. Listen to the messenger! Seek out some form of meditation (I like the
ultra meditation cds by Mind tek), reiki, yoga, polarity therapy, EFT,
WHATEVER, anything that appeals to you, but don't ignore your spirit!

hi leann, when you say it tightens your skin.do you mean you have pourous skin?

And, I am using Proactiv - It's awesome for my adult acne, but my skin is
not oily. However, it tightens my skin and it feels sooooooooo smooth now.
I wonder what effect it would have on oily skin.

Good luck,
Leann

Many times overwashing the skin can cause the skin to be very oily. When you
wash, you strip away the protective acid mantle (made of sebum and sweat) of the
skin. This stimulates your oil glands to produce more oil to help restore the
acid mantle. If you already have over active oil glands, washing too much will
literally send the sebaceous glands into hyper drive. Try washing the skin a
maximum of three times daily (preferably only 2) with a gentle cleanser (like
Miessence purifying cleanser) that will not strip away the natural acid mantle
of the skin and will not overstimulate your oil glands. Then, use essential oils
and botanicals that work as astringents to tighten the pores and cut down on the
oil secretion. Apple cider vinegar is a good one, as well as patchouli essential
oil. I love the Miessence line because it controls my oily skin (you would never
know I evern have oily skin just looking at me) without overdrying or leaving my
skin unprotected. It felt a little different
at first because I was used to the "squeaky clean" feeling of using an oil
stripping cleanser, but I quickly got used to it when I saw my skin responding
<!--more-->
so well. Keep up with those liver cleanses. Excessively oily skin is a sign of
impaired liver function. You may want to take milk thistle and artichoke for
their liver benefits.
If you would like, I will send you my natural skin care protocol and it should
help you to pinpoint things that are missing in the diet, or things you should
avoid. For example, if you're not getting enough vitamin A, your oil secretions
will become abnormal. Vitamin A is vital for controlling oily skin. In addition,
being a vegetarian you may be missing out on B12, which is also important for
healthy skin and nerve function. Just email me privately if you want to see the
natural skin care protocol
Good luck!
Carisa

My skin is so oily that even while on Accutane my dermatologist was
surprised by how oily my skin still was. I found curezone.com thank
god and wish I never went on Accutane cause my face broke out and got
oily within a week of stopping the stuff- TWICE
I've now done the cleanses in this order:

Parasites cleanse

Bowel cleanse

Dental cleanup

Kidney cleanse

Liver Cleanse and Gallbladder Cleanse - Liver flush!

Why is my skin still so OILY??? I can't take it any more... the
minute after I wash my face, it's covered in oil again! Yes, my acne
has cleared up quite a bit, but why won't the oilyness go away? What
do I have to do... I swear my face could be used as a reflector...
most people just think it's sweat. It's disgusting and I'm sick of
it. I'm going to do ANOTHER liver flush this weekend. The only time
my skin wasn't oily was when I was on Accutane... and even then it
was still a little oily. I use to live on sugar and I have cut it
almost completely out of my diet. I stay away from milk for the most
part (I use to have a latte every morning). I am vegetarian and never
eat fast food. I drink tons of water. Please, please help. Anyone?

Try these sites....

And, I am using Proactiv - It's awesome for my adult acne, but my skin is
not oily. However, it tightens my skin and it feels sooooooooo smooth now.
I wonder what effect it would have on oily skin.

Good luck,
Leann
