eczema… need help!!!

Wednesday, March 31st, 2004

I have some form of stress related eczema. I’ve been on so many
pills and creams and my dermatologist and her associates are jerks.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this taken care of?
As many of you can probably relate, it is so itchy and painful! I
hate to wear clothes because they aggrivate me. The only times it
isn’t as bad is in the shower and when I get deep into projects or
something to take up all of my mind. I’ve done the steroid cremes
and the different pills, colder showers, thick creams, you name it.
Any advise?

new poster…anyone have feedback on The Psoriasis Cure by Lisa Leva

Saturday, March 27th, 2004

My son has psoriasis and I’m researching on his behalf. I’ve just
read a book, The Psoriasis Cure, that promotes healthy diet and
avoidance of certains foods (plus all alcohol and smoking). Thing is
she recommends quite a lot of supplemental vitamins in addition to a
multivitamin/multimineral and B complex. I think a person would get
the required 8-10 glasses of water daily in washing down all the
tablets daily!!! Many are taken 3x daily!

Just wondering if anyone else had tried her method and found it
helpful.

Thanks,
Kitty

dyshidrotic eczema

Thursday, March 25th, 2004

Hi,

I have been diagnosed with dyshidrotic eczema. I have it on my hands and
feet. Little pockets of fluid erupt from deep within the skin and rise to the
surface. I was on a strong dose of prednisone, then tappered off. As soon as I
started tapering the dose, it started coming back. I started methotrexate
today.
Does anyone have any information that has worked personally for this
disorder? Could the eczema be caused by some type of ingested allergen?
Any help would be appreciated

thanks, erik

acne, kidney stones, psoriasis

Wednesday, March 24th, 2004

Hi

Lucky me, I suffer from all of the above! I am looking for
suggestions to cleanse the kidneys (which I hope will help with the
other conditions).

I just joined this group and have not yet found anything in the
archives to assist me.

My theory is that my kidneys are not eliminating toxins (I have had
kidney problems virtually since birth) and this has created skin
problems. I have read that the skin is a "third kidney" which
flushes toxins - ie through acne and other conditions - if the
kidneys are not working correctly.

Something to try

Eczema is basically your body reacting to your dry skin, as my doctor
tells me. Common sense leads to the assumption that keeping your skin
hydrated would cure the problem, right? Creams designed to ‘dry’ the
fluid often associated with eczema can in most cases make the
reaction worse the next time it comes up.

I have a solution. I’m not going to say it works for everyone. But it
worked for me. I just recently found it. Last night I took the advice
of a friend and added a pinch of salt to my iced tea. I’m an iced tea-
aholic. My friend told me that adding salt to my *sugared* iced tea
would make the water in it much easier to absorb. My hands and legs
were broken out badly. I have bad ezcema. I woke up this morning. The
affected spots weren’t vanished. However, they had lost
the ‘reactive’ quality. That is, the spots weren’t raised or itchy or
oozy. My worst spot, on my hand, now is normal, although it still has

Bye, bye psoriasis (non-commercial)

Sunday, March 21st, 2004

Hi everybody.

My Name is Ivar, I’m a 51 yrs old Norwegian and best of all: I got
rid of my psoriasis. I was suffering from it badly since I was 14.
I’m living in Thailand and got incidently in contacty with a
physician to cure a flue. When he saw my badly affected skin he
asked me if I wanted to do anything about it… So I told him that
this was regarded as uncureable all over the world and there was
basicly nothing left I didn’t tried. Nevertheless he convinced me to
try a set of creams, produced by himself on herbal ingredients.
Believe it or not after a 14 days I was a new man. Whilst I’ve spent
a fortune by myself over the years for a lot of crap I would like to
offer everybody who is interested further information (Photos and so
on…) and finaly the cream for selfexpenses (unbelievable cheap)
under the condition that you’re going to make a photo-documentataion

Inquiring about a few and callous on feet….AKA Psoriasis

Saturday, March 20th, 2004

Hello All,
So glad to hear from people and be enlightened by them as well. As far as
depression , there are many men(young and old) as well as women on them. Some
say its hereditary some say docs prescribe them to often, but that is another
topic and maybe you and I (Jan Henry) can share more on that one on one. You
are on my buddy list and I so look forward to seeing you on it one day when
we are both online. As far as Enbrel goes….shot up today and greatful for
that fact that I am able to use it at this time. Brad , if you are listening
, how is your trial period with enbrel going? and how long did you find it
took you to completely clear? Renee, so glad to hear that you are doing so
well. As far as Loralen, my friend got a tube of it and I am tempted to try
it on my feet , on those stubborn areas where callous,AKA Psoriasis exists.
Does anyone have a great deal of callous(psoriasis)on their heels or toes?
I thought it was callous this whole time but was told it was psoriasis.
Thank you all for participating………You keep me coming back……..Mindy
