LADIES: WHEN and HOW can I shave my legs again?

Thursday, March 18th, 2004

Hello all!

To all the ladies here: PLEASE HELP! Can anyone tell me how I can shave my legs
(and other parts of me) without my eczema rash flaring up all over after?

Everytime I have shaved, it flares up in rash everywhere I shave. (except my
underarms). Anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone else with eczema experience
this? Is this part of eczema?

Your replies are appreciated!

Thank you!

Has anyone tried Loralen?

Wednesday, March 17th, 2004

Hello,
A friend of mine just purchased a tube of LORALEN, it was sent to him from
Italy and he says it has worked well in the short amount of time he has used
it. It sounds just like SKIN CAP but I do not know. Can anyone share with my
on this subject?

PS. I am still on the Enbrel and it is working very slowly on me, my doc says
it was the worst case of psoriasis he has ever seen. It has improved but not
gone that is for sure but I will continue to be patient and have hope………

Diagnosis

Monday, March 15th, 2004

We can really reate to your frustration. Our entire family of 5 (my 3
sons ages 2 to 7,my husband and myself) have been "attempting" to
get "diagnosed" for a condition that includes an eczema like
dermetitis since June 2002. We have numerous other symptoms that
accompany this as well. We continuously encounter from different
Doctors, dermatologists, etc. the usual "oh that is just eczema or
summer freckles" What seems odd to us though is that we all seem to
have began experiencing this "eczema" at once and the entire family
suffers from this and all the other numerous symptoms
together……. Hang in there, and keep your chin up. Keep seeking
answers and trying to find solutions. You are not alone. It is sad to
think that these are the people that we entrust the health and
wellbeing of our families and ourselves too, whom are supposed to have
taken an oath to try everything within their abilities to do
so. We will keep you in our prayers and Good Luck:)

Went to my derm. appt.-"diagnosis"???

Monday, March 15th, 2004

Hello all,
Well, my derm’s final conclusion: says it’s "just" eczema. She said
the antibiotic I was taking (Bactrim) "probably" triggered an
allergic reaction, which caused the rash, in which triggered the
eczema. She said the rash now, is just due to eczema! Said there is
nothing more she can do for me now, unless I want to go see her
affiliate, the allergist, to perform patch testing, to find out if
this is an allergy to an irritant or something else.
She gave me prescriptions for "ANOTHER" STRONGER steroid cream &
Allegra.
Again I was irritated w/ her, b/c she was all "rush-rush" w/ me
again, & acted like she had somewhat of an "attitude"-seemed like she
was irritated with me, because I wouldn’t let her leave like she so
obviously was anxious to, because I kept ASKING HER QUESTIONS.
Hello????? Isn’t that WHAT she is for? To INFORM the patient? Discuss

Sunday, March 14th, 2004

Hello, all!
My good news is that I finally got to purchase some new vitamins!
Bought them 3 days ago…& haven’t itched hardly at all, since I
started taking them!!! I bought vit.’s: A&D, E, C, B-complex, zinc
and Acidophilus…AND have been eating oats for the past 3 mornings!
& will continue to do so, if that’s helping me! Seems like it!

I notice that no one seems to be coming here much lately. You all
must be pretty busy lately.
My derm. appt. is tomorrow…I’ll let you guys know what happens!

Talk to you all later!
Peace, love & wellness,

Information about Olive oil

Sunday, March 14th, 2004

Hello all,

I found this info. about Olive oil at: www.olivesource.com

Olive Oil - Cosmetics

Can Olive Oil (cold press) be used topically on the skin?

But of course! The ancient Greeks used to bathe with oil, using a special
scraper to take off the excess. Barring allergies, most vegetable oils are
compatible with the skin. To moisturize dry skin, apply it daily directly to
dry spots and stretch marks. You’re not going to be using that much so use the
best olive oil; extra virgin. Pure and Light olive oil has been chemically
processed, avoid it.
