water and skin
Hello group,
Lately all the trouble I have been having with my skin and nothing seems to
give me any relief I wondered if the remedy could be simple.
There are many problems that occur due to minimal water intake. Have anyone
out there read anything regarding water and skin. I know that I could go
forever without water and I was wondering if this could be one of the reasons
why I never get any relief from the dry skin which is very, very dry. The
dryness is unbearable and hurts with means that if I am dry I itch and when I
itch my eczema appears. I would like to hear back from anyone on this
Thanks,
Terri

Water intake is generally quite important for health overall. Since we
skin sufferers are even more sensitive to health hazards, we need to
increase our water intake. So, drink more water. However, when taking
baths, don’t take long ones. Research has shown that tap water on the
epidermis has a dehydrating effect. Unless you mix it with some
additives to make it more moisturizing to your skin, you should try to
keep your skin dry from water, and moisturize it using emolients or
creams or oils. When bathing, use a moisturizing shower liquid or soap,
such as liquid paraffin or something. Hope this helps.
