quick fix for hands?

anyone have a quick fix for my hands? they are really bad at the
moment…not sure why since I had been doing so well. I did get an
immunization shot and haven’t been feeling well ever since, I wonder if it’s
connected….anyway I know someone probably would have shared a quick fix by
now, but I am desperate for any advice. Not only is it painful to do
anything, even wash my hands (plain water burns my open cracks….) but I
have to go on interviews, and I am worried about having to shake people’s
hands, not to mention how it looks. Even signing my name hurts and is
awkward. HELP!!!

I did find the "hands" cream and tried it but I think it made my hands
worse….

When I had bad hands my doctor made me promise not to wash them or get htem
wet for a whole month. I was to wear cotton gloves all the time…using
any cream or oil that I liked. After two weeks they were getting better
daily and some Betnovate was used - yes this is a (dreaded) steroid cream
but it was only necessary to use it about twice as by that time with the dry
hands and gloves it was so much better. It never came back. Jan Henry

thanks, I usually put the cream and cotton gloves on at night but now trying
to during the day too, when I am home, have them on now as we type…

    Hi there,

I had very dry hands and my knuckles would always crack and bleed,
but I haven’t had this problem since using Nutri-Clean. I plan to
start using this as a shower gel to see if it will help my feet as
    well!

    Take care,

I wash my hands all the time, especially after I eat or do something….I
just need to have clean hands. I can’t imagine trying to not wash them…and
what about showering? I shower everyday….
I don’t like putting lotion on either, it makes my hands feel "dirty", that’s
why I usually put the lotion and creams on at night with the gloves…I do
try to use lotion more often during the day, so I’m trying.
My hands happen to be bad right now and I don’t know that I have done
    anything drastically different recently.

This soap does sound interesting to try…

Geeee’s I feel soooo bad for you. I know what that’s like.

    Mickie,

Thanks. Super glue scares me to use on my eczema! But I do have a tape on
them right now….it’s called Cordran tape and was once prescribed to me…I
still had alot of it left and recently decided to try it again. It does help
to heal the cracks as it holds them together. The tape does seem to make my
    hands moist.

I did end up buying some hydrocortisone cream (over the counter). I haven’t
seen a dermatologist down here in Fl. Got tired of all the different things
they put me on in NY. So far just sticking to seeing my immunologist (since
I also have immune deficiency which leads me to believe it affects my skin).
I had improved over recent months so I am just upset to be flaring so badly
    right now.

Thanks- at least I know I have people out there who know what I am going
through and who sympathize with me…

Well I understand the fear of super glue………personally I thought he was
nut’s. But the pain was real and I thought I would give it a try. For me it
    worked good.
I ‘m in Fla too. The water here is very hard it’s miserable on the whole body.
I don’t have a softener, but it’s next on my list.

what part of FL? I am in Tampa Bay. I do notice the water has an affect on
me when I go to Buffalo (my sister lives there), and she does have a
softener, but I still get real dry and itchy and flare when I am there. I
did notice going to NYC last month got my hands bad, they started to heal but
it took awhile, but now are even worse than when I was in NY. I heard they
just started putting ammonia into our water, maybe it’s that?

    Hi there,

Same with me! I like my hands clean and that’s that! You can use
this soap as a shower gel too. It has really made a drastic
improvement in the condition of my hands. I cannot say enough about
it! It does come with a 60 day money back guarantee! One great
aspect of this soap is that it can be used for literaly everything!
So cleaning doesn’t have to be a dreadful task knowing what will
happen to your hands while using the chemicals. If anyone is
interested in trying this, please let me know. I would suggest
getting the 1 litre for $12.10 (s/h & tax included) to begin with
and if you like it, maybe next time you will want the larger size to
    utilize into your household cleaning.

    Have a great day,

My hand are bad right now too — cracks on most of my
knuckles, sore. I’m pretty itchy overall.

how many others have bad hands right now?
is there something in the air??
    perhaps spring? perhaps something else???

  11. Sebastian Ball Says:

From some stuff I’ve heard part of our issue (people
with weak immune systems, eczema, asthma, etc) is the
immunizations we all had as kids — they are NOT a
good thing in that they weaken the immune system.

there are web sites that document all kinds of
informaiton on why NOT to immunize. I don’t know the
    details - I just know I won’t do anymore of them. I
won’t do the small pox one especially.

Well I used to flare up more at certain times of the year, especially when it
started to get cold, but I am in FL now!! (been here for a year). Overall I
am better but I just can’t contribute my hands being so bad to anything
    specific.

I was looking at creams in the store the other day and as I was reading the
label for one, it said for after milking and then I looked at the front again
and it said for cows and other pets…don’t remember the name of it, it could
have been bag balm (?). I usually try to avoid lanolin. I’ve had trouble
with lots of lotions and not sure it’s the lanolin but I suspect it may be.

  15. Sandra Paulina Says:

Bag Balm is excellent for many things; however, I have tried it on
my hands and feet like the doctor suggested and it didn’t do a thing
but irritate my situation even more. It must be the lanolin in it
because it does work wonders for lots of other things. So far, the
best thing that I have found is Nutri-Clean. I hope this helps.
