I would like to share my own experience with psoriasis which 2
months ago I started to get rid of it. I had psoriasis since 1992
and I never get any medicine which can reduce my flaky skin or even
cure it. But 2 months ago my sister’s friend who had psoriasis also,
he told me to go to his doctor. I first do not want to go to the
doctor because of I have tired to take or use another medicine which
do not affect to my psoriasis, but one night I feel really do not
comfortable with my psoriasis since my flaky skin start hurt, so the
day after it I went to the doctor and he gaves me a shoot and pills.
I asked to the doctor what kind of shoot he gaves me and he didn’t
want to tell me (typical Indonesian doctor). This doctor is a
professor and he is already old. What I am surprised He didn’t over
charge the patients. The side effect of his shoot and medicine is I
am now gain my weight 3 Kgs because I like to eat now. Ok this just
for sharing my experience.

Now that I am almost done with taking my round of prednisone I noticed that
halfway thru I started to itch and the intense dryness came back. It is such a
shame because I was feeling normal and I liked that feeling. Being a black
woman with eczema means with the itch I have damaged my skin severely where it
is darker that usual. I wondered if anyone else has this problem where the
skin has darkened and thickened due to the scratching, and what they have done
to look normal. Also, does your skin have an unusual smell. Please let me
know anything that could help

hi,
i was wondering if any one knew the withdrawal effects for
cyclosporine, i have looked on the net but only can find side
effects.
i have found this drug a great help to my eczema.
i have had eczema for 24 years (all my life) i have tried creams,
emmolients, pills been in hospital three times, tried azothiprine
and have finally been put on cyclosporine.
i have been on it two weeks and already ppl are commenting on how
clear my skin is looking.
OK the side effects are worrying but i made my choice of a shorter
life with clear skin in opposed to a long life with scabby, itching
skin, a long time ago. I would rather be happy for a short time
than misarable and in pain for a long time.

I agree with you about the steroids. They do seem to only mask the problems,
in any case why give them. I am on them right now for about 2 weeks. I
missed one dose and I kid you not I started itching that night. There’s got to
be
something else besides the steroids.

I’ve noticed that people have been asking about Zytec. When I was on the
antihistamines it did not control my itch. But it did make my other allergies
better though.

I pray and hope like many other diseases like cancer and AIDS where attempts
are being made to find a cure it will be possible for eczema and psoriasis to
have attempts made for a cure or at least better suppressants of the symptoms.
But I feel that many doctors and researchers don’t take skin diseases
seriously, there should be something better than steroids and oitments. Maybe

guess i should have explained about the chinese atkins thing,its not
a pill!!… yes it is a version of the atkins diet, except with
chinese food (ie grease, meat, and lots of salt, and scant veggies, a
la mom…) i think chinese people just like meat ALOT because they
are poor in china and never eat it so they get to north america and
go ballistic… it is working for the weight loss thing though my
skin is like, not as great as it was the day i was on prednisone and
decided to cut out all the meat and soy stuff… im scared to go off
of the prednisone, the doc said today that i was on a low dose and
not for a very long time so i can jsut stop (im on 50 mg for 10 days,
it is day 5 now..)

look you guys this whole diet thing is really freaking me out, i mean
we only have five senses and i like food of all kinds! though i did
look up a really scary vegan diet, the Raw Food diet…it looked ok
