Psoriasis is avoidable (check out celiac disease)
Hi ,
Isn’t it true that one of the deadly nightshades the potato has had a
lot of publicity lately.
Potato’s skins have shown a link to type 1 diabettes. Warnings have
been issued for pregnant mothers to avoid potatos. Dr. Green on the
network even advises don’t feed your babies or children potato chips.
And many other up to date (good) doctors are doing the same.
The fact potatoes chips have 900 times the content of acrylamide that
E.P.A. recommend. The nightshades are the reason for excess uric
acid. Etc. Etc…..
Also most important for you to realise Gluten has also been linked to
many ailments.
The condition most often associated with gluten intolerance is celiac
disease, the body immune system reacts to gluten in a specific way.
The intestinal villi are damaged, leading to a host of medical
problems.
What’s more frightening that it is now believed that many more people
are intolerant to gluten than those with diagnosed cealiac disease.
It is now thought that 1:250 and 1:300 of pop. May have celiac
disease meaning that there are hundreds of thousand people walking
around with chronic symptoms that they and their doctors do not
understand.
The condition is often discovered in young children but can occur
later in life. Problems are diverse. They can include chronic
fatigue, arthritis or fibrositis Syndromes, allergies, depression and
mental illness as well as chronic digestive problems such as
irritable bowel, chronic diarrhoea, and constipation
A condition of the skin called dermatitis herpetiformis: it produces
itchy little blisters which appear on back of the arms near elbows,
the front of legs near knees the lower back and elsewhere.
A gluten free diet is the only remedy and in most cases leads to
rapid recovery.
Don’t forget also acrylamide has also found in gluten products.
As for cereals (also large amounts of acrylamide) lets take corn
flakes flatten heated and vitamin added need l say more.
One very good question l was asked the other day was "if l avoid the
nightshade, gluten and cereals where do l get my carbohydrates"
Rice and corn have saccharides also another good source as in
sucrose, found in many fruits and berries, particularly in dates,
figs and bananas. (So avoiding those food nightshades, gluten and
cereals is not a big issue).

Hi Sterling Strauss,
Are you going to attach the diet ?
July 22nd, 2004 at 8:48 pm
Hi Stirling
I’m interested in getting a copy of the diet that you have mentioned in
your emails. I suffer from psoriasis, maybe not to the extent of some
other members of the list, but my psorisis has been gradually been
getting worse year after year.
Thanks
Daniel
