Goodbye group

Tuesday, August 31st, 2004

Dear everyone with excema and psoriasis,
I am going to unsubsribe in a few days.
My husband died recently and I am moving house — and will not be on
line for while — until I move to New Zealand probably.
Do any of you live in New Zealand?

Thank you for your helpful suggestions. I have learnt a lot.
I have found it heart-rending to hear how some of you suffer with you skin.

It is a terrific challenge for some of you — and it seems that the
medical profession have not really done enough to help, but one has to help
oneself in
the end-wading through the advice and finding out what works for you.

Wish me luck as I wave you good bye….. love and hugs

Emulsifying

Saturday, August 28th, 2004

Has anyone uses the emulsifying ointment? I been doing a research on
this cream. Anyone who got dry or very dry skin? Should try this
stuff. They say you can use as a soap or use very thinly on your skin
for moisturising. To bath with this stuff, you put 2 tablespoons of
ointment into a litre of boiling water and mix until melted. Then
pour into your bath while the water is running and it even turn into
a bubble bath.

If anyone is interesting, see this website.

my experience with eczema

Thursday, August 26th, 2004

I have treated mostly eczema patients but my advice could be applied
to many skin conditions: psoriasis, dermatitis, acne, rosacea, etc. I
provide more of a general guideline on this page. Consult a holistic
health practitioner about different brands of products or pick up a
nutrition book such as P. Balch’s Nutritional Healing. My eczema got
85% better and I also helped several of my patients. Be patient and
do the work; it takes time for the body to change and create a new
healthy environment.

-Get an herbal prescription from an acupuncturist–to cleanse and
build your blood, support your adrenal and liver function–these are
usually the underlying issues in many skin problems, incl. eczema.
He/she will tailor it to your specific needs, based both on your
symptoms and constitutional weaknesses you manifest. It is a great
investment.

Allergy to Lotions?

Saturday, August 21st, 2004

I have yet to find a OTC lotion that I am not allergic to.

Last week, I tried "Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion for Dry Sensitive
Skin" and I broke out in hives the same day. I was assuming this
lotion was the most hypoallergenic OTC lotion out there.

Once I washed it off, the hives started to disappear, but the wheels
of the hives have left scars and my skin still feels irritated and
itchy one week later.

I am not sure which ingredient in common lotions that I would be
allergic to:

Ingredients:
Purified Water, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Cetearyl

Irritation of scrotum with Protopic

Thursday, August 19th, 2004

I’ve been using Protopic on the front half of my penis for about a
week and the sensitvity, discomfort and progressive thinning of the
skin (atrophy) went away almost immediately. Within a few days,
however, I started to develop a painful irritation on the skin of my
scrotum. Thinking this could be helped by (and not caused by) the
Protopic, I applied it to all the red areas. The situation only got
worse. I finally decided to see if the Protopic was the cause and
last night and this morning washed it all off in the shower. The skin
of my scrotum had become very irritated and sensitive to any touch.

In order to eliminate contact in the future I took an athletic
supporter and cut a hole just long enough for my penis to stick
through under my underwear. I then applied Protopic. This system
prevents the Protopic from getting on my scrotum. It’s been several
hours and so far no recurrence of the discomfort. I hope this solves

The Cure for All Skin Problems: A Natural Approach

Wednesday, August 18th, 2004

Dear Friends

According to eastern medicine, all skin problems are due to heat and
toxins in the blood. Although my experience is in curing rosacea, the
following article uses procedures that applies to all skin problems.

Kind regards

The Rosacea Cure: A Natural Approach

This information is for those who suffer from rosacea and doctors
