Acne Problems

Tuesday, August 17th, 2004

Hi! (I posted a similar message earlier, but I have some additonal questions to
ask this time)

I am a 23-year old boy and I have been suffering from severe acne for the past 5
years. I have consulted a number of specialists and used nearly all kinds of
medication, but it has shown no sign of relief. Nowadays, I am using an ointment
called ‘Airol’ for more than a fortnight. However, the condition does not seem
to have bettered; infact it has sort of worsened as I see some new white colored
pimples on my face everyday. This has been happening for very long and I dont
know how to cure them. I also try to wash my face with Neutrogena (normal
formula) soap once daily. Using Neutrogena and Airol or using either of them
causes white flakes to form on my face and it roughens my face a lot. I dont
think that the soap as well as the ointment suits my skin a great deal.

I have researched a bit and found that accutane is also used as a treatment for

www.psoriasisdating.com

Hey all,

I have had psoriasis since early teens. Sometimes bad sometimes not
so bad,
but either way it has always made dating more nerve racking than it
should
be. I have looked around and this seems to be a common problem. So I
have
invested a lot of time and money to put together a site that is for
people
who suffer from the big P. It has a chat room as well as every other
feature
most dating sites posses. You are anonyms you will just use a screen

Baby Oil

Saturday, August 14th, 2004

Ouch!!!! If you’re referring to the commonly used "Baby Oil" in a clear
bottle -
I wouldn’t begin to consider using it - for anything. It probably says
"Mineral Oil"
which is nothing more than refined diesel fuel, perfumed up to smell good.
It covers
the skin, clogging the pores, preventing it from breathing properly.

I read an article some time ago about women and make up. It talked about
all the chemicals found in make up and how they actually cause the skin to
age much more rapidly than what would be a normal ageing process. If I
remember correctly, for every 7 years of use the skin ages the equivalent of
10. This is because of the inability of the skin to breathe under all the
gunk. However, the worst part was what those chemicals do on the inside of
the body, including altering the DNA and causing degeneration in the

Eczema lumps

Thursday, August 12th, 2004

Does anyone have the lumps on the skin, where the eczema is? This is
the first time I had. The lumps is on my hands(end of outside thumb)
and it quite sore. When I press on the lump, it is hard skin and red.
I wonder if anyone had the same problem. I think I saw one of the
message in this groups about this lumps but couldn’t remember when
was it. Can anyone help me?

Many thanks and your support.

friend with psoriasis

Sunday, August 8th, 2004

Thank you so much for your advise. I wouldn’t know about his shoes, whether he
wears sporting shoes most of the timeor not, but I will sure pass this
information on. The official diagnosis by local GP and specialist in town was
psoriasis but perhaps the possibility of it being the rubber latex allergy has
been overlooked.

Thanks once again

Eczema problem.

Monday, August 2nd, 2004

Hi - My wife has been having an eczema problem on both sides of her
face the last few months. She has always had tendency to itch there,
but never had any really noticable eczema problem there until the last
few months. She does also have a pretty bad problem with sun
sensitivity, so she’s had to increase the use of sunscreen the last
few months, but really doesn’t apply much of anything near the areas
where the eczema is occurring, and it’s not occurring anywhere else on
her face or neck.

She had been using cortisol cream, but the doctor was afraid she
wasn’t using it too much. So she had my wife stop it for a while
(which of course caused it to get worse), and then gave her a small
amount of very strong cortisol cream to use for about a week, which
just about made it disappear. But of course as soon as she stopped
it, it came back very quickly. We think this doctor is being to

Weeping!

Monday, August 2nd, 2004

Hi ALL!
About weeping skin?? I been having it on my hand and foot for a while
now and it terrible. I keep using tissue to wipe the weeping.
Sometimes, I used plaster to cover it, so I dont have to wipe it all
the time. Even if you put cream on, it still weeps. I’m trying to
leave it open and let it dry. Does anyone have this problem and what
do you do about it?
