Yeah, you got a major point there, but if you compare
it with homeopathic medicine, this is the same
thing... a treatment that reason and common sense tell
you that it wont work...

I think constructive criticism, like your warning,
should be encouraged.

Look, I dont want to hear about urine and sex more
than you, but the fact is that we are here to share
what we think might work, maybe it sound crazy but
lets be open minded people! We know that for many of
us eczema is a great issue... great measures for great
problems.

Let keep all of our opinions as objective opinions.

If you know how many crazy treatments I had heared for
treating eczema... this is not the oddest.

I have to side with Crystal, I joined to try to
hear some discussion on treating eczema & this
urine thing keeps getting thrown back & forth.
It's one thing to say you're trying this & it
works. But I don't care for the list members
slamming each other for what they do or don't
think is right. I'm unsubscribing. Then you can
talk about ME & my intolerance all you want.

Good idea to just say no to drinking urine. Also though applying it to the skin
is not much different (except it bypasses the liver which could be good or not
as the liver is our chemical filter)
otherwise if it is absorbed into the skin it is absorbed into the bloodstream
and body.

The ph (acidity) of the urine may cause initial antiseptic properties but you'd
be much better off with witch hazel

>whoooh,,, did I see where someone is talking about drinking urine?

Hi Denise!

Actually, the original poster was saying that she had applied her own urine
<!--more-->
topically. I'm the one who mentioned ingesting it, and that was based on a
few things I've read about monks - Buddhist, I think? - who practice it and
are extremely healthy (of course, they live incredibly health lives
anyway). I also remember reading in a book called Yuck! The Encyclopedia
of Everything Nasty (my 7 year-old's favorite book ;-) that urine is
completely sterile when it first exits your body. After that bacteria
begins to form and it begins to break down in other ways. I, too, share
your thoughts about urine being toxins that our bodies choose to get rid of
- I did a quick google search on urine therapy and came up with a few
interesting links which made evident to me that there are allopathic
physicians as well as alternative practitioners who take strong stands on
both sides of the urine therapy fence.

Anyway - if it works for someone else, more power to them! I'm sticking
with my green tea and grapefruit juice <g>
