eczema-newbie
Hello,
I just joined this group. I have eczema I get from having my
hands in dirt or handling paper. I haven’t seen any other causes, but
those two are bad enough. This world is full of paper.
I get blisters that are under my skin and if I don’t see them, cause
they usually don’t itch, they get bigger and bigger til they hurt.
Sometimes it itches, but not often. I’ve had some in the cracks of my
thumbs, where you bend your thumb. now THAT hurts.
I like to do things naturally, meaning herbs and stuff like that.
I tried comfrey salve, nothing. I’ve tried keeping my hands
moisturized, nothing. I’ve tried wearing gloves when gardening, but
can’t get my fingers in to the dirt and was using those cotton
gloves, so my hands could breathe you know? Well, they got wet and
apparently whatever is in dirt can get thru the gloves and I STILL
got the eczema. sheesh
I’ve tried doing cleanses and juicing, nothing seems to make it go
away. well, I know it won’t go away for ever. My doctor once said,
back in 2000 when I had one, that it’s a form of allergy, it’s in the
body, much like asthma, but it’s coming out on the skin. So anyway, I
havne’t been able to make mine go away. But I have found something
that helps. It gets rid of it til the next time I get it.
It’s called Serious Salve, I got it from a place online. The jar
says, ‘blue sage naturals’. It smells fine, is orange and a little
goes a long way. I’ve put it on my face, my eye lids, hands, and my
husband uses it on his feet when he gets athlete’s foot.
It takes anywhere from 1 day to 3 days of putting it on before I see
the blisters start to open up and dry out I guess they are doing. I
think it depends on how much I put it on. It helps with the bit of
itching I get too.
Well, I’m happy to meet you all. Sorry this is so long. I talk a lot.
I’ll try to keep it shorter next time.
