Hi wendy, nice to hear from you.
Yes, I remember getting little tiny very itchy red spots too that i forgot
about.. Don't know why I forgot, they were the worst ones. I've never heard of
that "Serious Salve". I don't think we can get that here in Australia. And
I've never heard of Emergen-C either. But the Calcium Ascorbate that I take
really helps. I guess it is calcium and vit C with those names. It hasn't
entirely eliminated the eczema but its greatly reduced to what it was.
I too, have very thin skin. A doctor remarked on it about ten years ago and
said I should put a good moisturiser on my legs and arms every day. I have been
using HydrodermE from the chemist shop. It is excellent and also stops nappy
rash I believe. Also i've stopped using deodorant because of the aluminium
content and now use Avon's powder containing bicarbonate of soda I think. That
is really good and it also stops underarm perspiration.
I won't really know how effective that is till summer comes around again. Also
I don't know if it's tied in with the skin probs but I have thinning hair,
<!--more-->
female pattern baldness and I can comb it over to be not too noticeable. But
it's another skin problem really that causes that as the scalp gets plugged with
what looks like cradle cap that babies get. I've read a lot about it. I guess
I've had that since menopause. So it could be hormonal. Warts on my forehead
is another prob. I think when the skin is being a problem like this it means I
need de-toxing as it's the biggest organ on the body and whatever is going on in
the inside is going to eventually show on the skin. Well, that's enough of a
rant for now.. I am trying to switch to as natural as possible foods of all
sorts. I grow some veggies and don't buy junk packaged stuff if I can resist
it. hmmm.. the occasional chocolate when my resistance is low. Carrot juice
with celery and oranges is good I've found and I should use my juicer more
often. I stick the whole orange in.. Scrub the skin etc. It's very good for
you and has a load of antioxidants that usually get thrown away. I always feel
good after those drinks. I am going to grow wheat grass to juice too. They are
even better I've heard.
I might do a search to see if I can get that Serious Salve here. thanks for
that info.
Cheers,
Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for your reply! You know, I bet it's the beginning of excema,
dang I forget how to spell it...eczema when the peeling starts. My
husband's feet peeled and now he is getting the blisters, little bitty
ones. I USED to get little bitty ones. It doesn't seem to happen much
anymore.

I joined several eczema groups when I first got online, and this is
what I wrote to a couple. I just cut and paste, hate to keep typing
over and over. LOL

Hi all,

I wanted to give you an update on this stuff i use on my eczema. I
<!--more-->
weeded and got it bad on my hands, again. I put that serious salve on
it and it's going away. Three blisters broke and dried up in 2 days,
then i have some on my thumb, where you bend it, and it's RIGHT where
I curve my thumb around the mouse. Anyway, this serious salve is
working on it!

I also put it on some spots on my face, the spots are gone. I don't
know what they were, but i'm happy they're gone.

I am going to swear off gardening. I am SO sick of this! it does't
matter if it's a plant i touch or the dirt, I've discovered.I get the
serious salve at blue sage naturals online. Oh, and someone on another
list I am on was asking about soap. I use the sea buckthorn soap from
this place too, and just bought the regular soap they sell. It all
suits my skin really well.

You know Jenny, I have thin skin too and VERY very dry. All my life
it's been dry.
Well, off to church now.

Oh, btw, I take calcium in the emergen-c packets we drink. have you
heard of that stuff?

My skin peels anytime I have a "reaction" and it
flares -- which has happened often lately. I believe
my severe reactions lately are because this has been a
rough spring around here and because I'm pregnant. My
feet peel and my face peels...it's lovely.

I've heard feet peeling like that from allergy to milk. (he was also asthmatic
as a baby and that was also when his feet peeled like that). He grew out of
that as he got older.

Hi Wendy,
Yes, I have excema which flares up every so often to really aggravate me. When
I first got it, I had peeling skin down the shin of one leg, peeling off in
long sheets and on the other leg I had white blisters which I could not pop
easily so I left them.. They weren't particulary itchy, but it seemed really
weird.. I still get them sometimes but I haven't had the peeling skin since.
The rest was just an itching mess of lumps and bumps, small red pimples that
drove me up the wall. My doctor said it was caused by the water and even now
every day when I shower it can flare up. I take take Calcium ascorbate 1 tsp
with water every second day. More than that and I get a lot of diarrhea. The
first lot of calcium I took fixed it all up completely and I didn't get excema
for months.. I don't remember the brand and I haven't seen it on the shelves.
Perhaps it was one of those that were ripped off our pharmacists shelves during
the fake PAN "Dangerous Supplements" rip-off. I believe this was a precursor
to banning our easy-to-get supplements completely via the Codex Alimentarius
<!--more-->
agenda. Some chemist/pharmacists here in Australia did tests on the products
and found nothing wrong with them and put them back on their shelves. Anyway
I take different vitamins and minerals but not all at once. It's too expensive
for me. I just do what I can. One thing I do is make sure I use a good
moisturiser on my arms and legs after showering as I tend to have very dry and
thin skin. And the simpler and purer the moisturiser the better, it does'nt
have to be expensive. I believe excema can manifest in quite a few ways on
different people. Ive seen some people absolutely encrusted with scabs and
some just have one or two red raised spots. Pregnant women can also suffer from
a form of it called PUPPS. It usually goes away some time after the birth from
what I hear. This sort of thing isn't normal so I'm wondering what the cause in
our diet is. Is the liver not working properly because of all the unhealthy
artificially grown food we eat. Sprayed with dangerous chemicals? I wish I
knew for sure.
Jenny
Does anyone know if it's eczema or psoriasis when the skin on the feet
peels? Like in large layers, not just your run of the mill dry feet
peeling stuff.

thankyou,
Wendy
