you are right.moisture therapy is also a good help.i use zinc oxide cream before
bed.after my shower i use olive oil.this combination has reduced my flakeyness
in half.which means less vacumeing.i still have all my spots, but its the flakes
that are the worst part about having psoriasis i find.

The best way to deal with the flaking and itchiness is to bath in dead
sea salts. While bathing, you can gently rub your hand over the
patches, removing the scales. The salts will also sooth the itchiness.

Scratching is definitely bad for psoriasis or any skin problem -- only
spreads the disease to healthy skin.

The doctors say that scratching psoraisis makes it
much worse. Have those of you with psoriasis noticed
that scratching or not scratching has had any
noticeable effect? I haven't ever successfully
stopped scratching, it seems like those big scaly
flakes need to be scratched off, and even when i try
to stop, it is so itchy i scratch unconsciously. It
just seems like i would still have psoriasis whether i
scratched it or not. But if it really makes a
difference i would really make the effort. what do
you guys think? -maya

1)WE should really really really stop referring to
Methyl-sulfonyl-methane (MSM) as MSN (microsoft
networks.)

2) MSM is purported to aid the absorbtion of OTHER
substances through the skin, rather than to be
absorbed itself.

Thanks Carisa, for telling me know what msn is!
I am also fairly new to this board, and have already learned SO much! (and
have yet so much MORE to learn! lol) I signed up for this board originally
because my daughter (6) has alopecia, and I was trying to find some sort of
"natural" remedy/aid for her. Conventional medicine hasn't really seemed to do
much
good.
Thanks again!

HI,

I was just going through my emails and noticed this. Does it work on acne and
what is msn? I suffer from eczema, and acne. How do I get it and can you get
samples or money back guarantee? Thanks a bunch

I'm new to the group. I joined so I could share my sucess on treating my rosecea
with you. A month ago I started taking msm, the liquid, this is by Dr Jacobs who
discoved it. It nasty tasting stuff but it works on sore bodies and the side
effect was it has cleared up my rosecea. I also used the lotion on my face, one
time. Its good on any sores and skin stuff you might have going on.

I take the oral MSM, 1 t spoon 2 times a day. It is made for humans, and
animals. I use the lotion on my elbow that had a rough place on it. It had been
there for a long time. It is practically gone and doesn't hurt anymore. I use it
on my roseca twice and it is gone, I was going crazy with it. I would have tried
anything. Something causes this in us, could it be a lack of something in our
body? Your body needs msm, which is a sulfur compound.

Try it, it is cheap, and won't hurt you.

certainly MSM is helpful to the skin and connective tissues, but skin that has
so many conditions going on at once is trying to TELL you something. The skin is
an organ of elimination and is a window into the health of your other organs and
your immune system. Doing some major internal cleaning as well as removing
toxins from your household and nourishing the body with nutrient-dense foods is
the only real way to find relief. I will post my natural skin care protocol if
you're interested. It doesn't require that you buy any expensive creams....this
is not a sales pitch. Just help.
