infant formula supplementation

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

A few posts ago we were discussing how to make a better baby formula for
children suffering from eczema and psoriasis. Here is some advice from Dr
Mercolas website. Someday I hope there is a nutritious, certified organic baby
formula made with real nutrients from FOOD. Until then, try this. Hope this
helps!

Infant Formula Fortification Protocol
A mother’s breast milk is nature’s perfect and complete food for babies and
can’t even come close to being reproduced. With so many substances known to be
present in breastmilk, but unable to be replicated in breastmilk substitutes
(formula), plus all of the as-yet unidentified constituents, it should come as
no great surprise that children today are suffering from a vast myriad of
illnesses and disorders.

The human brain is infinitely more sophisticated than the world’s fastest

info The Edgar Cayce approach to treating psoriasis

Monday, October 17th, 2005

I am sending you this information so that you may evaluate it,

Following the principles outlined in the Orion project will lead you
to real wealth=health.
For research purposes only -subject

The Edgar Cayce approach to treating psoriasis
Cayce takes an entirely different approach to this malady siting the
causes in case after case of an internal problem. Thinning of the
walls of the intestinal tract namely at the jejunum and the
duodenum, the thinning allows toxic products from the intestine to
actually leak into the circulatory system and then it finds way into
the lymph flow of the skin.

When the blood and lymph systems are unable to cope with these

Has anyone heard of DHA Jr.?

Saturday, October 15th, 2005

My son has really bad eczema. I’ve been researching, trying to find
something to help him…something that isn’t a drug or steroid that
is.

My friend, who is a chiropractor, swears by DHA Jr. It is by Nordic
Naturals. It contains Vitamin D, cod liver oil (?), and Omega 3
fatty acid, which people with eczema are lacking. She has been
giving her kids this for years.

She also gives her kids goats milk (with a little carrot juice)
instead of regular formula…anyone try that?

Has anyone ever heard of this? Any bad/good thoughts on this?

TIA!

Eczema…which vitamins/minerals to try?

Friday, October 14th, 2005

Hi!
My son is 8.5 months old and suffers from severe eczema. We have
tried creams, lotions, meds, etc. They have "helped", but I’m
waiting for my miracle drug!
We are currently using Locoid cream (sparingly) on the red spots.
He takes Atarax to help with the itching. I just HATE giving these
things to him b/c I don’t know what actual harm they’re doing to his
body.

I have been researching the benefits of vitamins/minerals for
eczema. But, I don’t even know where to start. I have heard that
fish oils, evening primrose oil, and flax seed oils are all good
things to take.

Should I give him all of those? Should I try just one?

New in the Gang!

Thursday, October 13th, 2005

Hello,
My name is Michelle and I have two young children. I was searching
on the net for a group and found this one. My oldest child had
ezcema before he was a year old and was cured by using vaseline.
Last spring he developed it on his arms and I was given Elidel to
help. Although it removed it from his arms, it always returned. I
did not want to use any steroids becuase he is so young. Last
December I started to use Renew lotion on his arms and the ezcema
has not returned. What a relief!

I also have extremely dry skin on my legs and have tried many
lotions to cure it, but nothing worked until I used Renew.

This product is 100% natural and does not use any toxic chemicals
you find in some of the store-brand products. I will be glad to

New Members Story and some Advice

Thursday, October 6th, 2005

Hi, I would like to share my sons story about his eczema. He is 7
years of age and has suffered his itchy condition the majority of
his life until now. We have finally found his cure and are amazed
by the results - we wanted to share it with you. A mother at my
son’s school handed us a book about food additives and natural food
additives and we commenced the elimination diet and within a week
the horrible dermatitis all over his back and tummy disappeared,
then his large weeping patches of eczema disappeared from his face,
legs and arms and he slept for a full night - first time in two
years - what bliss !! We were very skeptical about this diet but it
has worked for us and many others since discussing it with other
parents. Foods which I thought were very healthy for him such as
all fruits (except pear) and fruit juice, tomatoes, citrus,
preservative 282 in most breads and yoghurts, many spreads, jams and
hard cheeses are the worst contributors to eczema. The natural

Psoriasis and autoimmunity

Tuesday, October 4th, 2005

Hello All:

As I’ve been doing a little research, I occasionally come across the thought
that psoriasis is an autoimmune problem. Specifically, the T-cells in the
skin are causing trouble. I get regular blood counts and my lymphocyctes
are within normal range. It would seem reasonable to me that if the
lymphocyctes were out of control then perhaps the lymphocycte count may not
reflect normal on a complete blood count (although I realize that may not
necessarily be true, but it’s a though process I’m going through here). So,
my question is do any of you psoriasis sufferers ever get complete blood
counts, and are your white counts within normal parameters? Specifically
the lymphocyctes.

I’m going to see if I can hunt down some books to see why they think the
T-lymphs are causing psoriasis. It seems that there could be several
