I agree with less bathing. It is important to build the acid mantle on the skin
to protect from infections and to help fight the eczema. I would use Dr Bronners
Aloe Baby Mild soap to wash, and then rinse with filtered water (no chlorine)
with a little ACV to adjust the pH. Then, put a thin coat of coconut oil all
over to help re-establish the acid mantle and avoid dryness. This should really
help. It is especially helpful for diaper rash.

You may also not want to bathe him so often. Wipe him
down instead - it is less drying.

You can try that and see if it helps.

Where would I get spirulina? Can I get that at a health food store?

Good job! Love and light to you as you take this journey to better health.
Carisa

Alison

Dave, if the MD's, allergists and derms have all told you that 'all you need
is a good liver cleanse to get rid of your excema', then I think you have
come across some rare professionals in the medical arena. Send them over
here to Australia!!LOL

Jo.

Excuse me for butting in here Dave & Carissa.
Dave: Dr. Sandra Cabot (Australia) has published a book re: Liver Cleansing
that includes diet suggestions.
<!--more-->
In the book there are pages of letters written to Sandra from people who
have tried the liver cleansing diet and tell how their own doctors are
amazed that most test results after the cleanse are now within normal range
and the patient's health state is no longer in danger. Even major illnesses
have disappeared!

I've tried the diet myself (am on a 10 day detox right now, sort of similar)
and my skin looks good. For me a liver cleanse can get rid of symptoms of
rosacea but I have to stay on the diet to keep the symptoms away, which are
redness, burning, itchiness and severely blocked pores. If I eat junk and
drink alcohol, then exfoliator and tea tree cream can control the symptoms.

I think the Liver Cleansing Diet does a lot of good for the body.

Many doctors don't believe that it is necessary to cleanse the liver as it
regenerates it self continually. Maybe so, but doesn't it need a break from
toxins to get on with the job properly. In my opinion it does, just from my
own experience.

Dave, if you're interested, try to get the above book somehow. Maybe ebay?
It's pretty good and written by a medical doctor who since med school,
wondered about liver function and health. Her grandfather saved her
grandmother's life. She had been diagnosed as having a fatal condition and
sent home to die. The grandfather made up fresh juices for her to drink
everyday (they didn't have electric juicers in those days so you can imagine
how hard it must have been) and the grandmother, day-by-day visibly came
back from near death and went on to live for years. I don't think Dr. Sandra
Cabot would risk her medical reputation by making all this stuff up.

Sorry this is long.

Jo.

Carisa,

I don't mean to sound skeptical, but why of the numorous doctors
(allergists, derms, MD's) mentioned to me that all I needed to cure my
eczema is a good liver cleaning? I have never heard such a thing...What
does it involve?

What documentation and/or documented actual case files with peoples names
can you provide to support your statement? I would like to see the info...

I don't really know if it will help your son's
condition but keeping off all dairy products will
lessen the condition. He can have soy products
instead. Downside is that he will not put on as much
weight as he would if he were on formula.

You may also not want to bathe him so often. Wipe him
down instead - it is less drying.

You can try that and see if it helps.

I have seen some improvement in places where I have
psoriasis since I changed my diet 3 weeks ago. I have
a celery and apple juice in the morning - I put celery
stalks and green apple into a blender so I get the
pulp as well. I have a full lunch which usually does
not include meat and another pint of juice in the
evening.

It is not as drastic as a pure cleansing diet but I
see some improvement in my skin condition.

One other "remedy" recommended to me was that I should
drink 2 litres of water first thing in the morning
when I wake. I tried that for a few days and it was
quite hard. My friend who suffers from Eczema swears
<!--more-->
by this. If you continue for at least 5 days, your
skin should clear.

Hope this helps!

I have been having flaxeed oil capsules twice daily
for around two weeks and my bowel has been acting
"nicer" as well. the condition i am trying to fight is
my acne, (which is still the same ), but at least my
digestion has marginally improved because of the
flaxseed oil..

I'm definitely going to try the cleansing. Since last Monday I have trying a
yeast-free diet. Unfortunately I got sick (the flu) because EVERYONE at my
job is getting it so of course it's my turn! Anyhoo, I have noticed I am not
1/2 as sick as I usually get. I have been taking Acidophilus since Monday
and have noticed I am not as bloated and gassy. My bowel has been acting a
lot "nicer" also. At first I had to go a lot (perhaps cleaning me out) but
that was just the first 2 days. Also I bought many fresh veggies and made my
own dressing with Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Cold Pressed), Balsamic Vinegar
and some Good Seasons Spice packs. (Look at the ingredients-some have whey
in them) (Mild Italian is good) (It's very good~ not acidy at all) Since I
absolutely LOVE bread I am eating Garlic Matza (no yeast in Matza) instead.
It's hard but I feel much better already. I am also a chocolate addict and
have been cutting down.
I suppose the magic word is "weaning". I have to wean myself off foods.
I hope some of this helped someone!

All I can say is a BIG AMEN to what you just wrote. Thanks, for your
Wellness Protocol. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but it looks like
you put a lot of work into it. Again, thanks for sharing it. Jo Ellen

P.S. can anyone remove that weird email we get when we post to the list.
