Ok, So, I am excited!

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

After doing some reading, research and discussing it with others, I
went on a Liver Cleanse Sat. morning.

Well, Friday night, I was hopeful bc I wasn’t getting my itching fit
like I usually do around 10 pm. But then early 2 am it started back up.

So, Sat, Sun, and Mon, I was WORSE! I had to double my meds. I am
thinking, ok…I must be really toxic for this reaction!

Sunday I also started a parasite cleanse (which articles say we all
have parasites which produce toxins) (plus I am desprite to try
anything!) I also started taking a herbal tea mixture - I went down
to the health food store and got some bulk herbs and mixed them
together. I also got a homeopathic remedy for rashes caused by food. I
also am limiting my processed foods and wheat. Also started taking Boo-

Emu Oil

Monday, November 28th, 2005

Just saw a show on TV tonight (AUS Current Affairs - Channel 10, I think)
reporting that Emu oil gets rid of ecxema, psoriasis and arthritis. There
was a couple, 70 years old, who were using it and were back to their jogging
and running on tracks etc. They said it was a miracle treatment for them
(the woman looked kind of fresh faced as well).

Ofcourse there was a medical doctor saying that it was not true and was only
good for emu joints. Hmmm I guess he has friends or perks re: pharmaceutical
company/s. My opinion.

Still, emu oil is said to be natural with no side effects. It has Omega 3, 6
& 9.

My partner (severe psoriasis) was excited about it so I got out the Flaxseed
Oil and he took some of those, also have 3, 6, & 9. He also took some Cod

Xolair - the anti-antibody shot

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005

Ezcema is said to be sometimes an allergic reaction. Xolair is a brand
new shot that is designed to keep your antibodies from manifesting an
allergic reaction. The drug is over $500 a week. But you can call your
insurance company to see if your plan covers it.

what are typical food *triggers*?

Friday, November 18th, 2005

hello all

i just found this group yesterday. my sweet 6-yo dd was diagnosed
with psoriasis a few months ago. she has it all over her tiny little
body. we’ve tried a few natural things and are continuing to do
some, and we are also using topical steroids and dovonex. the
steroids seem to be helping, but i hate the idea of the side
effects. i have faith in the natural stuff, but we aren’t seeing a
difference with just that. i have a feeling we need to look at her
diet. can anybody tell me what are *YOUR* trigger foods? i have a
whole list of foods to avoid, but that would really mean that all she
can eat is some fruits, some veggies, some oils, and rice. i can’t
imagine eating like that. i’d like to know what are the most
important foods to eliminate. and how did you figure out what those
foods were for you?

flexural/inverse psoriasis.

Thursday, November 17th, 2005

Hi, just looking for some info..

I have had psoriasis ‘downstairs’ for the last 8 mnths. Apparently
according to my gyno/derm (who is one of the best around)I am on the
road to recovery. It was at its worst after a lengthy usage of strong
steroid ointment betnovate prescribed to me by the first quack gyno I
saw. So not only am I recovering from a bad case of steroid overuse in
a sensitive area but flexural psoriasis too. I am using flaxseed oil
and fish oil + some other vitamins, a light over the counter steroid
sigmacort and lots of vaseline before bed..Although it looks slightly
better I cant seem to shake it. I have no psoriasis any where else on
my body so this has come as a bit of a shock. I believe it was caused
by friction and tight pants ie gym pants and a predisposition to
psoriasis . Has anyone had this problem? Or have any advice on how
they have dealt with flexural/iverse psoriasis? thankyou.

I have a red patch on my lower jaw, in the back corner

Wednesday, November 16th, 2005

I have not been to a doctor — I don’t like doctors, and don’t usually
like to hear their treatment plans that usually include sharp objects
and drugs.
I have a well-defined patch (about 1.5 inches in diameter) of reddish
or pinkish skin that can become dried out and flaky. It is raised and
sore most of the time. There seems always to be some spot within that
patch, or more than one, that oozes small amounts of some fluid or
blood (especially overnight). My pillow case is sometimes spotted
with small dried out blood stains.
I manage this condition with essential oils, P.h. balanced internal
neutralizer, a healthy diet, ambrotose, superfood complex, lots of
exercise.
Sometimes it is embarrassing — sometimes the patch is more angry and
raw looking, and I know people can see it easily.
Does anyone recognize what this may be?
