aspirin and heart disease?

Saturday, January 28th, 2006

More news about heart disease and aspirin. I have not used the supplements Dr
Mercola is speaking of, so I can’t advocate them, but the article is informative
nonetheless. Finally, A Natural Alternative to Aspirin for Cardiovascular Health

Using aspirin for heart disease has been controversial for years, and now
aspirin is in the news again. According to a recent study in American Heart
Journal, people who are diagnosed with heart failure and follow a treatment
regimen that includes blood thinners such as aspirin or coumadin (warfarin)
could be putting their health into more danger.

While millions take these medications every day, many suffer from a long list of
side effects that include gastrointestinal bleeding and ruptured blood vessels.
Worst of all, medications like warfarin and aspirin do little to solve the

Diet and stroke - Carissa

Friday, January 20th, 2006

I thought about this for ages, but I would like to ask Carissa for some
advice rather than possibly run around in circles for a year or two (as
could happen searching for advice). It just feels weird to me to ask someone
for free advice! Hopefully I can repay in some way.

OK, for 20 years I didn’t eat meat (not for health reasons), very, very
little chicken and sometimes fish. Didn’t go to any great lengths to make up
for protein or essential fatty acids lacking in diet. Smoked cigarettes the
entire time. Had times of eating meat, such as pregnancy.

Anyway, at 41 years old, met a new partner and his food choices took over
because he likes to do the cooking. (He has psoriasis severely BTW). Since
then have eaten a lot more fat and packaged foods etc, foods I wouldn’t
usually bother with.
4 years later - after going through extreme stress as well due to having

healing and the subconscious mind

Monday, January 16th, 2006

one reason why high magick rituals are structured like this is because the
symbolism is used to convey the message to the subconscious mind.

because the conscious mind is focussed on the ritual in hand the real
intention is allowed to slip past into the subconscious.

it is in the subconscious mind where all interpretation of real world data
takes place and it is our subconscious beliefs which mould all of the incoming
sensory data to create our world.

the hidden doorway to the subconscious is the secret key to all healing.

New to group. Help with Perioral Dermatitis?

As stated above. I’d had it for over 5 years. Switched to all natural
skincare, toothpaste, and mineral makeup but has only helped a little bit.

Son with severe Eczema

Sunday, January 15th, 2006

I am new to this site and I am fed up with steriods and all that
doctor stuff. My son is 22 months old and his Eczema appeared when he
was 6 weeks old. It is all over his body, including his scalp. I am
worried about all of the steriods we have used. We also were using
Elidel for awhile before all of the bad news. The Elidel was the only
thing that was actually helping to control the Eczema. He has never
been Eczema free. I am here to get any advice I can about anything
anyone has tried that has succeed or failed. I am ordering flaxseed
oil now and I hope that will help him some. My poor son has to stay
inside most of the time due to the heat. He is so miserable at times
and itches so badly that he bleeds and bleeds. It is so frustrating
for me because I get so upset cause he doesnt understand that he makes
it worse. If anyone can give me some ideas that have worked for them
to try, I am willing. I am in dire need of support and help for my
poor boy. Thank you for this support group/site

eczema and Crohns

Friday, January 6th, 2006

Hi all
I developed eczema on my eyelids and a darkening/reddening/discoloration under
my
eyes in the last 6 months since I started a Crohns flare around Thanksgiving.

Anyone have suggestions on how to manage/minimize the damage? Will this cause
permanent scarring around my eyes?

Thanks
Julie
