Eczema?

Hello everyone. I am new to this group , looking for someone with
similar symptoms, and hopefully a successful treatment.

I have itching (usually in exactly the same place each time)(legs,
trunk, back) and small red dots/spots mostly on my thighs and trunk.
There is no ozzing and the itching is almost never where the red dots
are. I do not have any of these symptoms "where the sun does not
shine.)

I am treated by a dermatologist who prescribes hydrocortizone .02% and
Eldiel. Both of these help with the itching but nothing cures the
dots/spots. He also says to shower less, do not use hot water, and to
use mild soap. Still the dots.

Earlier in my life is used to sun myself frequently and suspect that

this contributes to my problem (because where I wore a swin trunks,
there is no problem.)

Is there anyone out there with this problem who can share information
that will help me get rid of the spots/dots? Please email me.

    Hello!

This sounds like: Keratosis Pilaris (KP), the "chicken
skin" condition characterized by rough, bumpy skin on
the back of the arms and thighs.

I have this condition also. I use LacHydrin lotion. It
helps some but the only thing that helps my red bumps
is the sun. If I have a suntan my skin is wonderful.
I would defenitely stop using Elidel, it is black
    boxed!
Do some research on KP and see what you think.
