Things that have improved my sons eczema

Wednesday, April 12th, 2006

There are a few things that we have done along the way that have
helped my 2 1/2 year old son with his eczema. Like everyone else,
we have tried everything.

As far as his diet goes…what really seems to help is we took him
off of cows milk and put him on Enriched Rice Milk…he really
enjoys the vanilla flavor. We also stopped giving him diary cheese
and instead give him soy cheese which he also enjoys very much. As
far as snacks and such go, we have tried to get gluten free items.
There are so many gluten free products out there. We get the gluten
free cookies and also many rice products (rice chips and cereals).
Gluten and diary are not completely removed from his diet, there are
times when he will have pizza or mac and cheese…but we have taken
the frequency of those items way down. I really see a big
improvement.

Disability

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

Hello everyone,

I have been suffering from eczema all my life. But in the last several years it
has taken control of my entire life and the break outs and the dry skin has been
coming closer together where I have to be taken to the ER for treatment and then
placed under the care of my regular physician. Currently, I am finishing up
with my round of steriod and anti-itch medications and have taken blood test to
eliminate any diseases because of the severity of my eczema. My questions is
has anyone ever been placed on disability due to their skin problems?

Acne? Eczema?

Monday, April 3rd, 2006

Hi- For the past month or so, I have had redness on my face along with
red dots. Both are among visable dry skin after I get out of the
shower and throughout the day. It occansionally itches. Enough was
enough. I visted my dermatologist and he concluded it was a form of
acne. Have you ever heard of dry, itchy acne? I believe I need a
second opinion. What do you think?

Many thanks.

what works for me for exczema

Monday, April 3rd, 2006

I’ve been meaning to get a list together of what works for my brother and I, and
her it is. Hope it helps.

Avoid skin contact with chemicals/cleaners of any sort.

Avoid liquid soaps, deodorant soaps, dish soaps, and anything "Ivory". Dr.
Bronners, glycerine, avino, and anything moisturising are less harmful.

Get regular aerobic exercise.

A salt bath or soaking the affected area in salt solution helps decrease
swelling. Swimming in the ocean is great, too. Wish I had one nearby.

My brother has a carbon filter on his water softener, and he swears by it.
(Removes chlorine)You can get a full system for around $500 on ebay, or you can

Root Canals… what to do?

Saturday, April 1st, 2006

With research under my belt, I question whether to extract that front
tooth with a missing root canal or have it biologically treated.
Currently, the root canal is extracted but not filled. So I’m sitting
in limbo. I surely don’t want bacteria leaking into my body via
teeth. Any advice or words of wisdom are greatly appreciated!

Any luck with dentists in Mexico?

Saturday, April 1st, 2006

Hello. Thanks for checkin out the post. I hope to find relief from
chronic psoriasis with mercury removal, cavitation clean up and root
canal cleanings. With not a lot of dinero, I look to the great healers
of Mexico. If you have been there to have biological dental
cleanings, please let me know of your experience, positive or
negative. Thank you so much!
