		<description>Thanks for that. He's started the tablets and feels that there has been an
improvement already (well it's changed in a positive way) so he'll have to
see what happens.

Your reaction was nasty for sure - hopefully it won't happen but now we know
what might happen.

I tried Neotigason (Acitretin) about 6 months ago. I

started off on a small dose for one month. It made my
skin quite dry, but seem ok. Then after the first
month the Docs raised the dose and after a week I had
a severe reaction. My whole face and neck felt like
it was burning, my eyes swelled up and the skin on my
lips was peeling off in droves.

Bear in mind that the Doctor said he hadn't ever seen
a reaction as bad as this before and I had to stop
taking them. It took about 6 weeks for it all to calm
down.

Not everyone reacts the same way, but I would advise
caution and go back to the Doctor at the first sign of
any uncomfortable change.
