Great information! I have the book by Judi Vance, Beauty to Die For
and it has all that in it too. Very interesting how people poison
themselves through their cosmetics (formerly myself too!). Since the
skin is an organ and is permeable we should make sure that whatever we
put on it is something that we can also safely eat as it goes into the
bloodstream just like food.
www.ewg.org has listings of cosmetic and other personal care products
under the heading: Have your personal care products been assessed for
safety?. The ones I use aren’t listed but they are certified organic
and wow is my skin ever improving just by eliminating chemicals and
putting beneficial stuff on it. The skin may get worse first as it
will detoxify but then it gets smooth. This can be either very quick
or take up to a couple months. Of course if the bowel flora is in
balance at the same time it will go much quicker.
