<description>Tea tree oil kills all sorts of stuff. I get pure tea tree oil for a low cost
and I just love the results. I use only tea tree oil products made by one place.
Has made my life 100Xs better.

Dawn

Staph is all over the body normally and goes crazy with eczema I guess. It
is a common organism.

Fungal infections are usually assosiated with psoriasis.

<description>Staphylococcus is a strain of bacteria. Staph Aureus being the most
common. It lives on most people all of the time and is usually
harmless. It is an oportunistic bacteria. Meaning it lies dormant
untill there is a weakness and then it strikes. It is the cause of
most pimples.

Staph Aureus had awlays been a weak bacteria. Unfortunately due to
the over prescribing of antibiotics and the profileration of
antibacterial soaps it has evolved and become a very dangerous
bacteria in some cases. It has developed resistance to some
antibiotics and can be life threatening in a immunosupressed person.

Three rules to follow to help slow the evolution of super bacteria:
1. Only take antibiotics when prescribed. Never borrow from a
friend.
&lt;!--more--&gt;
2. Finish all the antibiotics. Don't stop when you feel better.
If some of the bacteria survives it will be stronger having been
exposed to the antibiotics and lived.
3. Stop using antibacterial soaps. They seem like a good idea but
in reality can only kill the weak bacteria leaving the strong and
desensitizing them to some medications. Use these soaps only when
recommended by a physician, or limit their use to after potentially
contaminating activies, ie handling raw chicken.

<description>I've noticed that my partner, who has severe psoriasis, has this peculiar
odour and I've wondered if something was living on the affected skin. From
the smell I'd say fungus. Thanks for your post.

Jo.

Staphylococcus aureus is very very common in eczema. I thought that was
why
you guys were using the tea tree oil. Doctors have known about staph and
eczema for a long time. Although they don't always tell you what it is.
