Alison and nickel was: Face Eczema
Oh! No, I only use the ones that have the ingredients listed. The 3
products I’ve used have the ingredients right on the container. You can
even go online and look for their different products and see what the
ingredients are.
On another note, there was a thread earlier on nickel sensitivity. Around
that time I noticed that my stainless steel garlic press was becoming
pitted." Made me realise that I must be ingesting the metals from that
which likely included nickel. So I’ve recently stopped using my stainless
steel cookware and utensils, and have switched to mostly ceramic, glass, and
wood utensils (chopsticks and wooden cooking tools). My youngest son was
starting to develop rough elbows and knees, but once I switched my cookware,
his elbows and knees are starting to significantly soften up. I was very
surprised to see such fast results for him. I’m gonna keep it up and see if
I start seeing significant improvements to my skin, too.

Marla,
I meant to say some Burts Bee’s products don’t have the ingredient list
at all. I was looking around the whole package thinking, "What the….?
Where is it?" lol
Hi Alison:
Ok, thanks. I’ll look for those products by Jason. Not sure I really need
them at this time, but I want to see how much they are, and if I can just
pick them up at Whole Foods, then that’s easy enough. I completely agree
with you regarding not all the Bert’s Bees products are that great. I’ve
looked through the ingredients lists on a lot of their products and the two
that I’m using now is what I’m most comfortable with. I think there is also
a hand salve that looks pretty natural that seems ok w/me. (And their lip
balm, too!) Luckily, I don’t have acne problems to deal with, so don’t know
anything about products for acne. And yes, I like Aubrey Organics, too! Ha
ha! I use their chamomile shampoo and their lavender and primrose oil body
soap. I seem to do well with those, too. I realise that we need to also
take care of the inside of us, too. So I do watch my diet. But found that
when I moisturize the outside as well, I seem to heal much better.
Now, how do you know that Bert’s doesn’t list all their ingredients on their
products? That’s bothersome and defeating the purpose of listing
ingredients for us! Cripes! How do we go about finding out what is
actually in there?

Hi Marla!
"Jason" products have these moisturizing crèmes in little (4oz) jars. I have
both the Vitamin E (25,000 I.U) and the Hemp Ultra Moisturizing. I don’t
really like their hand and body lotion in the tubes unless it’s summertime
because they are too light. Also, some of the ones in the tubes have some
synthetic ingredients like dimethicone. (Although they are not the main
ingredients)
I have noticed since I switched to the Aubrey organics Shampoo and
Conditioner my eczema on my scalp is A LOT less flaky. (I think all the
synthetic ingredients in the regular ones dried my scalp out more)
Burts Bee’s is OK but they don’t always put the ingredients on their
packaging. I’ve noticed some of their ingredients, although natural, are
pretty strong. (I tried some acne spot treatment and some soaps)Although I
LOVE their lip balm.

Ah! I couldn’t remember who it was! Well, let me thank you properly,
then! lol Thanks, Alison! I’ve used it on the really rough spots, and it
has helped a lot. But I’ve found that it’s too thick for the rest of my
body, so I’ve tried other things like Sweet Almond Oil and Coconut oil, etc
, but they don’t seem to lubricant very well, so I recently started using
Burt’s Bees Carrot Nutrition Body Lotion, and that so far, seems to be doing
the trick. I’ll have to check out Jason products, too, if you seem to be
doing well with them. Apparently your skin seems to be a similar
sensitivity as mine. Which Jason product do you use, and for what part of
you?
Thanks again!

I’m the one that had mentioned the Burts Bee’s Foot Cream and I am so glad
it worked for you!
I get eczema on my eyelids if I don’t use cream on them. I was using
sensitive skin formula eye creams but since my eye’s are super sensitive I
have been using more natural creams with calendula and also some Jason
Products.
I was getting cracks in the sides of my mouth which became swollen but as
soon as I started taking Collodial Silver they went away.

I have been using Bert’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream on my face by the
recommendation of someone on this list a long time ago. So far it has
worked the best, and I’ve actually started to see significant improvements.
Of course I have also been careful w/my diet and have done a series of
colonics.

I’m with you Chris… I have Eczema all over my face… eyelids and
everything… I try alittle bit of everything… but nothing seems to be
working…So, let me know if something helps you…
face? Where does it mostly occur?
Is it red or flaky, or both? What treatments work, if any? Have you
noticed anything in particular that causes flaring?
