Hair Care for psoriasis patient
Hi guys’
I’m having problem in selecting the proper hair care system for my sensitive
scalp which is seemed to be affected by Sebhorric Dermatitis. At the moment, i;m
using 2 in 1 herbal baby shampoo with conditioner. Somehow, the conditioner
ain’t good in conditioning. My hair’s still as rough as ever. I wanted to use
serum somehow i’m a bit concern on the ingredients. I hoped u guys out there can
provide some advice based on ur experiences. I thought of using Vaseline in
jelly form but it seems oily! I’ve tried baby oil but it has fragance in it.
Olive oil’s just too oily & makes me feel greasy. I’m really out of idea.

Hi Sue,
I’ve never found a two-in-one product that was good for conditioning.
I want to share with you what I do currently that has pretty much
eliminated the need for a conditioner. Twice a week I rub coconut oil
into my scalp before shampooing. I leave it on for an hour. Then I
shampoo using an Aubrey’s Organic product. No conditioner needed, and I
have long, thick, previously chemically treated hair. While wet I can
feel that the hair cuticle isn’t smooth, but once it dries there’s no
difference.
One thing I have learned, using any conditioner on the hair closer to my
scalp than the hair which makes a pony tail causes scalp irritation in a
big way.
Also, I find rinsing with an apple cider vinegar/water mixture on
occasion helps with hair smoothness.
Hope this helps, Raine

I just bought a hair product I am really happy with that is in
replacement of my "Frizz-ez Hair Serum". It called Botanical Hair Builder by
‘Joie’ and I bought it at my local Health Food Store. It’s a bit thick but
if you put a little in your hands and rub your hands together it melts a
bit. It comes in a 4 oz jar and I’m so happy I found it! It helps defrizz
and puts a shine to your hair but doesn’t leave it all greasy.
Also, Aubrey Organics makes a conditioner I love called White Camellia
Ultra Smoothing Conditioner. It is by far the BEST conditioner for
Curly/Dry/Coarse/Unruly Hair. I have super curly dry fine hair so it’s
basically a giant mess and this stuff actually moisturizes and detangles.
I’ve tried EVERY regular conditioner and this one beats them all. The
shampoo that comes with it is OK but it’s hard to make good natural shampoo
that moisturizes. Hope this helps!
