How to stop using steroids safely

The reaction you had to homeopathy may have been a
healing crisis….which is actually the beginning of
healing. If you can get through it, it may be the
best thing for your son. Also, I would do the milk
free and maybe wheat free diet too…..it is worth a
shot. You can always test and try to add it back in.

    I simply can’t believe that they’re prescribing steroids to a 6 month-old child.
It sounds like insanity to me considering the long-term effects of that
    medicine.

I think I agree with Nikki in that it might be a healing crisis. It’s really
difficult to deal with, but will probably yield the best results in time, not
that your child will understand that immediately, but I’m not sure how to
    navigate that one…

Homeopathy also takes a while to get have an impact, whereas steroids will feel
like a much more immediate response.

Nikki, thanks a lot for that. With homeopathy it may well have been
the healing crisis. My homeopath (she is excellent) prescribed Adam
with the pink tablets first and then Nat Mur (natrium chlorine). The
pink did such a good job in one day that I thought we may have cracked
it. But then his skin worsened as we progressed so had to stop it.

Yes we are already switching Adam to a milk free diet using
    hypoallergenic formual Nutramigen.

I am now using some herbs on his skin. I use Oak Bark and Chamomiles
herbs (as brews). I add them to his bath as well as make short
compresses on his face. His body is reacting very well to the herbs
but the face seems very hard to deal with. Oak Bark is very good at
"binding" the skin together especially if it is weeping. One the skin
is dry I use olive oil to loosen the hard bits. However I use an

emollient (DirpoBase) on the rest of his body.
