PSORIASIS-SOCK INFO
Dear sufferes out there, here is my story:
Here is some information that might help some of you suffering from
psoriasis in the lower extremities. This applies especially to people
who wear heavier, athletic, or cushioned sox.
I began having psoriasis just out of college and lasted into
my 40’s. In my thirties, I visited a dermatologist. He examined me
and said: `Welcome to your new hobby. Psoriasis.’ I said: `This makes
sense, my dad had this too.’ The symptoms wavered with the seasons—
worse in Winter, better in Summer. It always got better or
disappeared on vacations to the Oceans where bare feet were the mode.
Meanwhile, I had been doing my own laundry after graduation.
Even after settling down, I did the laundry. I had tried many methods
for washing, using detergents for baby (which I recommend.). But
nothing changed. Pine tar, cortisone, you name it.
One day, I decided that I would turn all the sox inside out
before washing. I noticed that all of this white powder puffed out,
basically skin cells, before they were washed. I continued, making
sure that all sox were turned inside out. In two weeks, my psoriasis
was gone! After nearly 20 years of sores covering my legs, spread to
hands and elbows at times, it was now gone. Now it has bee 2 yrs and
no psoriasis. How ridiculous is that. I wonder if my mom ever turned
dad’s socks inside out!

Are you sure it wasn’t a fungus infection?
