Coconut oil for hands and face working for me
I have written here before as the guy with eczema for 50 years, except
for my time in Hawaii. I am doing 3 new things and have noticed some
improvements. I am changing sheets every few days to fight the dust
mite thing, and eating tumeric for inflammation, and using food grade
coconut oil for my skin. It’s only been a few days, but I love the
results so far! Note: coconut oil is not coco butter! I got a 16 oz
jar at my health food store for $15: Garden of Life Extra Virgin
Coconut Oil 100% Organic. Far far far cheaper than any meds!
My flakey face is getting much better, and my hands are softening, and
the itching is decreasing. I love the fact that this is pure coconut
oil with zero other ingredients, so it either works or does not, there
are no hidden contributing factors.
You can slather the oil on at night before bed, or after a shower, and
it is rapidly absorbed. One benefit is that it smells a whole lot
better than many things I have tried … just call me Pina Colada Man!
Tumeric can be purchased in bulk for pennies at your health food
store, then I fill little gel caps and have 2 with breakfast and 2
with dinner. I read that it is highly prized in Indian medicine, so do
your own research. It is also good for psoriasis, so they say. and a
cancer fighter, etc.

So how are we supposed to use Turmeric? I have powder & I picked up a root
today - tea? Just chuck it in foods? Any suggestions?
I use it a lot, but rarely by itself & I really don’t know what to do with the
root.
