~~"remedies"~~~ bogus claims
Gotta tell ya….It ticks me off terribly when someone uses this forum to
hock whatever it is they are selling. Personal testimonials I certainly don’t
mind….we can all learn from each other. But to blatantly try to sell some
magic potion??? I think not. If there WERE indeed a magic potion, this forum
would not exist since I know we would ALL rush out and get it!
Currently there IS no "remedy" for psoriasis. Sad, but true, so to even
title the email as "Remedy," I personally find moronic. Just my own pov.

I second that- I am also tired of the so called cures from everything from
Psoriasis to being over weight. But I am more tired of the people who buy into
these things- The last time I checked - a toll free call and $39.95 isnt how any
of our great cures were marketed.

It wasn’t a "post" really…it was a full page add claiming yet another
"cure". Very irritating…

How do you know they are bogus?.

I hate speaking for someone else but as for me and my comment- I hate getting
the cure pushers emailing me wanting my money for thier cure- there is no known
cures just treatments and if the treatments work for one us they may not work
for the next- when I first showed signs of psoriasis- I spent hundreds on cures,
friends and family bought so called cures believing the hype- one so called cure
was olive oil that for 65.00 I got a .04 bottle. This is a forum for us all to
share our experiences and by chance we order a "cure/remedy" and it turns out to
be junk/fraud we can warn others not to waste thier money. However sorting thru
ads and snake oil presentations is not what this site is for.
as for the Tibetans- I agree with that but i also agree with my grandpa who
used to say - A fool and his money are easy to come between-
The ancient Tibetans say that for the over 10,000 ailments there are over

There are many remedies for psoriasis and sadly people don’t rush
out to get them. There’s no magic about it, you just need to know
how the human body functions and then treat the cause, not the
symptoms. The body is designed to heal itself but it needs the
right ingredients.

i think the problem lies with all the people thinking the natural remedies
would work a miracle in a day…..i myself am guilty every time it gets better
i slack off and suffer the consequence…. i think time is also a factor in
healing

It’s a real shame the way these spammers are trying to take advantage
of desperate people here. Lotions and creams can never be a cure.
Some will help symptoms, some won’t. But the only way to get a real
cure is to attack the CAUSE. The real cause HAS to be more than skin
deep. We tend to think of the skin in a superficial way, but it’s so
much more complex than that.
We have to learn to identify and avoid the chemical irritants in the
environment and possibly in our food and water. Our bodies have
tremendous healing capacity, but we have to learn to support our
systems with proper nutrition. We need the right mineral balance,
the essential fatty acids, the right vitamins.
No, this needn’t be just a crying club for the "forever sick" as you
put it, but the real answers aren’t easily dispensed from a pill
bottle or tube, it takes determination, research and learning.

I know there has to be something out there that will help me with my psoriasis
and I have tried lots of things mentioned over the years, especially the natural
stuff. Just because the things I have tried have not worked for me doesn’t mean
I will stop trying. If there is one thing I have learned is that what works for
one person does not always work for another. Its the same thing in the medical
world. I will keep looking for relief!
Thanks for listening, : )

Of course, all that said, I am very happy to be proven wrong. If some folks
wiond up having good results, it’s not too expensive & the ingredients are all
natural and without some of my allergic triggers, I will be very happy to check
out the Myrhh/Geranium stuff. Do you have a link about the product?

I’ve got to respond to Roy’s comment & hope that maybe others out there feel as
I do:
How do you know they are bogus?.
Are you stuck in your forever sick mentality?
Well, it’s not that I’m stuck ina sick mentality, it’s that I have little
patience for questionable claims & manipulation such as "Are you stuck forever
in you sick mentality?" THis doesn’t seem like a productive way to address
anything.
There are a TON of false claims out there on the Internet and it would be
naive to suggest that there aren’t. And they have been becoming more prominent
on this board. And one of the many reasons for my own personal wariness is that
the wrong thing in my system could set me off, cause flare-ups and make me very
ill. "Being stuck forever in a sick mentality" might well just be a reasonable
amount of caution. I think I’d like everyone on this board to become healthy
and I think, unfortunately, that there are almost as many different routes to
that cure as there are people on the board. I wish it were another way.
It may also come from having investigated other BS claims before and come away
disappointed. But, please forgive me for being blunt, these things just sound
like BS & I think they most likely are.

Keith- always the voice of reason on this list.
Bravo to you!

"One swallow does not a Spring make". This is ‘anecdotal’ evidence and NOT
scientific evidence. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!!
Just trying to treat the skin, is like changing the light bulb when the
generator has failed, i.e. you need to get to the underlying problem, which
in these cases is most likely internal problems such as ‘leaky gut syndrome’
or autoimmune disease, etc.

Dear Group members,
I apologise if my comment was unreasonable.
I think the comment that I was really responding to was that there was "no
remedy for psoriasis". Which seemed like a "given up" mentality.
I agree there are a lot of questionable claims out there.
Let me tell you this story.
My wife and I had a visit from a Korean lady who was at the end of her rope.
She had a brown growth that had started on her hands and had spread up her
arm and was spreading to her neck.
She couldn’t find employment because of it and could not find a remedy.
She had heard that we had essential oils from Young Living and asked if we
could help.
We looked into the Desk Reference for Essential Oils written in part by Gary
Young.
We ordered Geranium and Myrrh for her as they both have been used historically
used for skin conditions. Her skin had cleared up in a few weeks.
The ancient Tibetians have said, "for the over 10,000 ailments that
can effect humankind there are as many remedies". In Equador
alone there are thousands of medicinal plants.
So if you have skin problems, have hope, persevere and keep researching.
Sincerely,
Roy Hewitt

There are no known cures
that you have heard about, How do know that
some have not been cured? If there is remedy that eliminates psoriasis it
will
probrably cost money and it wouldn’t be magic. Medicinal plants work on a
scientific basis.
Your Grandpa was right Tracy and I hope you are no
fool.
Your hopelessness and disappointment comes through in your writing. I do not
want or need your money. I will send you free samples of Young Living’s
essential oils.
The main purpose for me to spread the Young Living message is because I am
