i am not certain of the weight of seaweed that i use
but i would guess about 500-600 grams. it is also
important to stick to a clean diet. last night i
bathed in seaweed again & found that i was still
itching after because i ate something i was allergic
to. the combination of proper diet and seaweed bath
will make your skin calm and smooth. this company also
provides a packet of sea salt to add to bath water.
another thing that gives me alot of relief is epsom
salt baths.
~ all the best to you in your healing.

Hi,

Can you tell us how much seaweed in weight you are using each time you
take a bath? Thanks.
It's always good to hear of someone getting results from mother
nature. I started bathing in seaweed today however I could only use
about 300 grams, I also ate some of it, a little salty but not too
bad. I have psoriasis and have been told that eczema is a very similar
condition.
Thanks for sharing your info.

It will take time for seaweed to heal you by eating it but bathing in seaweed
gives
immediate relief. It is pretty amazing how effective the seaweed is. i have had
eczema for
52 years and in my experience nothing else has ever given such immediate
healing. the
sores and redness disappear considerably by the next morning. i just recieved 10
bags of
it from ireland. i will post back after i finish all of the bags.

Yes you can use seaweed from the ocean. It's one of the most healing foods.
If you buy a good brand from your local health food store or buy it over the
internet. The salt is natural. Some people use it as an alternative to table
salt. Eden Organic is the brand I use. If you do a search you can read up on
the different types of seaweeds and find some recipes.
take care.

Jim

How about eating seaweed? Anything that works on the outside will work on
the inside. Since eczema begins as an internal condition you should try to
start eating it unless you already are. It's extremely alkaline and there are
so
many kinds to chose from also so many great recipes.
Take care.

Jim

have extremely bad eczema which is often difficult
to soothe. My friend recently brought me a big bag of
seaweed from IIreland which is for bathing. You put
the entire bag in and rub the gel from the seaweed all
over your body. I slept very well that evening with
very little discomfort. In the morning my skin felt
softer and all of the irritation was gone. I have not
been able to find any products in America comparable
to this. All I could find was a little bag of seaweed
mixed with other herbs. You really need to bathe in a
big bunch of it to get the healing effect. If anybody
knows of a product like this in America please let me
know. I would be very appreciative.
I find that swimming in the ocean alot and bathing in
bath salts also heals eczema.

Thank you ~

Dear Claudia,
I used topical steroids over many years and it does make your skin thinner. Now
when I
itch my skin bleeds very easily because there is not much there. I will never
use cortisone
creams again. The doctors do not give enough warning about this. I find that
taking baths
in epsom salt will relieve the skin of itching. Dead sea salts are really good
too and
seaweed is the best of all. I use ice packs also. I am trying to erradicate the
itching
through diet since itching comes from too much internal heat and an
overabundance of
yeast in the system which is called candida. Some foods will feed the yeast and
make more
<!--more-->
heat. I have been able to totally clear my eczema in the past through an
anti-candida diet.
It takes alot of discipline but is well worth the effort.
I wish you all the best in your healing.

Hi Alison,

Sorry to hear of your problems. Nice to know you're working on them
instead of burying them. Have you heard of EFT (download free
manual at www.emofree.com)? It can really shortcut your therapy
time and change your mood instantly once you know how to do it.
It's not that hard and there are loads of resources on the website.

Amino acid deficiency, not medication deficiency is a huge part of
depression that is usually overlooked. Search google for depression
and amino acids. Just one essential amino acid missing can make the
brain go haywire. I first read about it in a book called The Diet
Cure (I think that's what's it's called...it's out on loan) and
after years of being addicted to chocolate I finally cured it in ONE
DAY with Ganoderma (Reishi mushroom) that is amino acid rich. Food
<!--more-->
for thought!

I have to have a difference of opinion with you here. In cases where
depression and/or anxiety are severe herbs & nutrition just don't cut it. I
have suffered from severe insomnia, anxiety, hypervenalation, irritable
bowel & depression since 1993. Personally, I definitely needed some
prescriptions to calm me down. I think the secondary thing to be addressed
is things one has to change in one's life. Unfortunately no doctors
emphasized on how important a strict diet of unprocessed foods and helpful
herbs can help. I went through years of counseling, been to many different
psychiatrists and have tried many different drugs. Even after telling them
that I still think there was something wrong with me physically they kept
telling me "it's all in my head". That's ridiculous because there has to be
something wrong physically to make me change mentally. Now, of course, they
say (admit) it's "chemical imbalances". I could have told them that!
What I feel you need to understand is that people get to a certain point
before they realize how depressed or anxious they are until the damage has
<!--more-->
been done. This especially pertains to people, like myself, who have been
abused or suffered emotional/physical trauma. Sometimes the symptoms don't
appear until one day, BOOM, you suddenly are having a panic attack and think
you are dying. Or, for instance, you wake up one morning and you are so
severely depressed you can't function. Since I have been in that state I
know that all that person wants is quick relief. The meds I have been on
have helped me function (like actually going to work) while at the same time
seeking counseling and working on my emotional issues. I have cut down on
the depression meds I am taking but I still need to take them. Also, since
most doctors just want to write you a prescription it's hard to figure out
what, if anything, can be helped by diet and herbs.
Thankfully we have the internet and discuss these issues or else a lot of
us would not know anything except what our doctors tell us.

Alison, Chicago

Hi Claudia,

I'm sorry that I came across as judging. My tone was one of concern. I
just want you to know that there are options. The physiological causes
of depression can be addressed so there is no need for antidepressants.
