Nat- I have been following Pagano recommendations off and on for
about 4 years. The longest stretch I made it was 8 months. It wasn't
until this winter that I found I needed to drop dairy and gluten
too. Pagano mentions several times in his book that you should drop
those if they are an issue, but I never knew they were until I had
some more muscle allergy testing done.

Usually I do all of his teas and everything. Right now I am pregnate
so I dropped the teas to be safe and I haven't been doing enemas
lately or colonics.

I think my bowel has come a long way already in the process, but
from what I understand you need to get it healthy ALL the way to
have complete healing.

<!--more-->
In the last two months that I have dropped the dairy and gluten in
addition to his other recommendations I have had the most dramatic
healing ever in the four years I have been trying. My legs are
almost completely clear! My arthritis is TOTALLY gone! The rest of
my spots are are much thinner, partially cleared or completely
cleared on the rest of my body.

Lately I have been eating way more fruits than veggies and I think
the extra sugar may be holding me up. I have been very regular and
that is a big bonus for me. I definately think the root of my
problems had been cronic constipation that led to leaky gut syndrome.

Good luck to you. Keep me posted on how you are doing. It is always
encouraging to hear others!

Hi Mellisa,

Hows everything going with the diet and the psoriasis?
I just read your post, I received Pagano's book last week and I'm
really starting to understand what psoriasis is all about now. Before
it was such a mistery. Are you following his advice to the letter or
skipping somethings? How is your condition now and how long have you
been following the program?
Sorry for all the questions.

hello,
you have a web-side for Paganos o is just a book..
pam

Breakfast:
Frozen mixed berries-mostly raspberries
ocassionally a hard-boiled egg or an avocado or a handful of almonds
12oz veggie juice. 1/2 carrot, the rest celery, cuke, romaine or kale.
1 cup of coffee (a good stimulant for me)

Snack:
A piece of fruit- lot of times and apple with almond butter

Lunch: A large salad with mixed greens, veggies, chicken, olive
oil/lemon dressing. I change up what I put on my salads. I like
<!--more-->
sprouts and sometimes I add some beans.

Snack: gluten free crackers by Mary's Gone (they are my favorite!!)
with homemade hummus- chicka peas, lemon juice, garlic and liquid
aminos put in the magic bullet.

Dinner: brown rice, stir fried variety of veggies, 6oz grilled salmon.
Maybe another veggie juice.

Snack: frozen berries- I try to pretend they are my ice cream.

I also try to get through 1 64 oz of water before lunch and another
before dinner.

Best Wishes to you!
I would HIGHLY recommend getting Paganos cookbook. He does use some
dairy and gluten, but for the most part they are good ideas.

I also try to be cautious of gluten free items where sugar is in the
first three ingredients!

Hi Melissa,

I am so encouraged by your posts !!! I am suffering with psoriais right now.
I am waiting for Dr. Pagano's book at the library. I also have eczema :-(
I am so tired. The antibiotics, steroid creams/ointments and shots have
worn me out. I am getting ready to do the epsom salt bath to relive some pain.

I am hoping and praying that his diet will help me. I am in so much pain
right now.
Itching, oozing and now cracking and bleeding. I am already on a gluten free
and dairy free diet. No alcohol. A little sugar (in coffee). I struggle with
that one :-)

I live in NJ. Dr. Pagano lives up in Englewood Cliffs, NJ...right ? Did you
have an appointment with him ? Does he see patients ?
<!--more-->

Thanks again for your post ! Healthy Healing :-)

Maggie

Madhav

I have been on my journey to healing 5 years now. I have done lots
of alternative treatments and diets. In the last couple months I
have had a breakthrough. I have spots all over my body from the size
of a dime to a lemon, all over my scalp, pitting of my nails, and
psoriatic arthritis in several joints.

Right now I have NO arthritis. Several spots are 100% gone and all
are fading. My nails also seem to be better, but I think they take
longer to turn over (maybe even 9 months I have heard).

I would attribute all my success to diet!! I have been following
Pagano for years with minimal success- he recommends NO nightshades
(potatoes, peppers, tobacco, and tomatoes). He also recommends
changing your diet to around 80% fruits and veggies. Obviously no
white flour, sugar or friedn foods. He mentions several times in his
book that if you are allergic to gluten or dairy don't eat those
either. Well I didn't really know if I was or not, so I ignored that
part. A few months ago I had allergy testing at a chiropractors
office and he said no gluten and no diary. I started seeing results
within a couple weeks!!!!!!!! I had eliminated both of these before
seperately, but never together before. Eating can be a challenge, I
love food. Pizza had been my favorite, but not looking like a leper
took priority!

I am so excited!! I believe I will be totally clear in a couple
months. I'll make sure to update you all.

DON'T LOOSE HOPE! You can be healed!! It is a tough road, but it is
possible. I flew out to see Pagano this past fall and he has had
success with 80% + of his patients.

Melissa -

Could you please describe what your daily/weekly diet regimen looks
like (i.e. breakfast, lunch, dinner)? I know the difficulties of
trying to achieve a gluten and dairy free diet.
