Fungus Causing Eczema?
I have just returned from a visit w/someone who practices homeopathic
type medicine. My 6 yo son has had a spot on his hand since he was
just a few months old. This person is telling me he thinks it is
caused by a fungus and wants to put him on an anti-fungus diet. This
will be next to impossible for him (and me!) so I’m not sure we can do it.
Has anyone else ever heard of the fungus connection? Curious because
I never have. Any input is appreciated.
TIA,
Deb

Sure, fungus can cause skin lesions. As an example, I believe athlete’s
foot is believed to be fungal in origin.
So, what’s an anti-fungus diet like? And why would it be next to impossible
to try?
Thanks,
Marla

The homeopath might mean Candida which is a fungus type bacteria in
found in the bowels and sometimes elsewhere in the body. Diet might
help somewhat but like you said it’s tough to do. Hopefully he’s
given you a homeopathic fungus remedy.
An easier was is just to eliminate the worst food offenders: sugar,
dairy, white bread and pasta (replace with spelt bread and pasta or
rice) and very sweet fruits (keep a bit of fruit in the diet though to
prevent Candida from travelling into other organs).
Add to your diet:
-some grapefruit seed extract, good quality oregano oil, garlic or
other anti-fungal (take double or triple recommended amounts for about
2 weeks)
-healthy oils (like coconut, borage, black seed oil, cod liver oil,
etc….ask in your health food store)
-a very good probiotic to "eat" up the bad bacteria (email me for
recommendations and info on that one…we’ve tried tons)
-drink lots of alkaline water to wash out the bacteria and toxins.
Add some fresh lemon (increase amount of lemon once you get used to
the sourness…some kids just love it sour!)
-eat lots of green foods
Hope this helps…one day I’ll get my website up and post more details!

Hi Sharon,
For some reason I saved your email as I found it interesting, only to find
out months later that it was infact Candida that I was suffering from. Can
you please advise which probiotic you found to be the most efficient? Also
if you have found anything else that works well since.
Thanks
