Psoriasis started clearing
Hi guys,
A note with good news, I’ve been on holiday in Cebu for 5 days
(Philippines) with family, we stayed at The Plantation Bay Resort.
Great place, very friendly staff, man made salt water beaches
surounded by villars. Also a natural beach with plenty of fish to
chase around while snorkling.
Okay the good news, in just those few days most of the psoriasis
legions that were exposed to sun are almost clear other spots where
the sun don’t shine are still red, although some are getting lighter.
Now I’m back at home in Korea, and I’m going to go to the beach
everyday until the end of my vacation and stripping down to my
speedos. Got to get those last spots. Today was the first day I could
wear shorts and a T-shirt in public and feel comfortable. I plan to
keep up a healthy Pagano diet with exercise, however while on holiday
I did cheat on my clean diet a bit, but I didn’t over do it.
If anyone has some questions please ask away.
Regards,
Nathan

Hi Celeste,
I have a question for ya, do you think the sun or sea water is responsible
for healing? Or a combination of the two? Also how long did the legions stay
clear for after healing from the sun and surf?
Talk soon,
Nathan

good question! I think that it is definitely the sun
and the sea together. The ocean salt water is very
healing. Even if I go in for only a little
bit—immeresed totally in the water. If I go on
vacation and heal most of my skin, if not all, then
there is a good chance that it won’t erupt
again—until I have a very stressful situation or eat
alot of sugar etc.
If I only go for one day. It will begin to erupt after
2 days. If I can go to the beach evry other day
throuhout the summer I can maintain beautiful clear
skin all summer long and continue, possibly, until . .
.
If I get sun every day and don’t go to the beach the
results are very different.
hope you stay healed

I live in Minnesota where we have a lot of lakes and great sun in
the summer. I am in the sun at least 3 days a week almost all day
and I have never cleared before. I have also taken a 21 day cruise
in the Caribbean last summer with no success. Not even one spot
healed. BUT…..this summer I cut out gluten, and dairy in addition
to following Pagano’s diet and I am seeing tremendous healing.
Similar to what you said Nathan I have cleared completely where the
sun shines and the places the sun doesn’t shine they are thinner,
but still red. I am a bit baffled by my results. Also my scalp that
gets a lot of sun has not healed that well. I don’t know what to
think now. It bothers me that I follow such a strict diet and it
hasn’t cleared the spots that are covered from the sun.
One area that I think could be holding me up is sugar. I eat a lot
of fruit! I am 8 months pregnate and I crave it. I figure after I
have the baby I will get my veggie/fruit ratio where Pagano suggests
and see what happens. By then I won’t be getting all the sun. Should
be interesting.

Hi Melissa,
Wow, a Caribbean cruise, you’re so lucky. I want to try that some day.
I may not of mentioned, but during my holiday in Cebu I was swimming or
wading in the sea everyday. I took a shower just before bed without using soap
some nights. The theory being to keep all of the sea salt/minerals etc on my
skin as long as possible. Actually I got a wicked sun burn on the first day
resulting with me keeping a t-shirt on for the rest of the holiday and applying
lots of sun-cream on the exposed parts.
Melissa did you go swimming much in the ocean during your vacation? Well I
hope goes well for you in the future.
Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan
I do as you do - try to keep the salt water on my skin
fo as long as I can. Sometimes I don’t shower until
the next morning so I can sleep all night with the
salt still healing my skin.
I am going to the beach today! Can’t wait. My skin is
bad right now and really needs it.
all the best to you,
Celeste

Nathan-
When I was on the cruise I was in the salt water everyday for 21
days multiple times. Even the pools on the boat are salt water. I
did shower everyday because you have those fancy dinners to go to,
but I don’t know if it would have mattered.
I really think the gluten/dairy free diet has been part of my
healing. There are so many factors. Ahhhhh… I would do anything if
I only knew WHAT to do. Isn’t it frustrating. I have the disapline
to eat anything if I knew it would get me results. I used to think
Pagano’s diet was restrictive until I cut the gluten and dairy too.
Everything becomes so realtive.

Melissa,
I agree with you about the gluten/dairy free diet. Epsom Salt baths
used to be my only salvation until my dermatologist suggested that
eliminating gluten & dairy has been known to help some people with
eczema. Willing to try anything, I cut out all gluten & dairy that I
could find in my food. I cleared up within days. It’s had other
benefits as well; my asthma is not nearly so bad, my allergies are
better and my arthritis is much better. Also, I get fewer headaches.
It’s absolutely amazing how much better I feel and look. I’ve even
lost 2 pant sizes, not a bad deal!
I also think that yeast overpopulation was a problem for me. I cut
out all processed sugars ages ago, this helps quite a bit as well.
This combined with no gluten/dairy is working great for me. Maybe it
would work as good for others as well.

We are all slightly different. I have been on a gluten
free - dairy free diet for several months and haven’t
gotten much relief from it this time around. However,
diet definitely makes a huge difference. I think that
a leaky gut is making me allergic to almost everything
I eat right now. I am just starting on a new protocol
to heal that.
It is the ocean and sun combination that heals me
best. Epsom salt baths are also very healing.
Any advice from anybody who has had experience with
healing a leaky gut???
thanks

Guys, note that the SITE makes all the difference.
For example, I was at the Dead Sea (followed by mud pool nearby).
The Dead Sea (ON-SITE) was dynamite!
In that order:
I.E. First immersion in Dead Sea itself - for awhile
followed by:
immersion in mud pool nearby, with sun beating down
After approx. 10-20 min. bingo!
a pulling/pulsating/drawing sensation
of toxins being pulled out of system.
I did NOT get the same effect in Tiberias mineral baths.
NOR Tiberias mud application (which they said came from Dead Sea).
SIMILARLY
I spoke w/a woman who said her eczema was NOT healed at Tiberias.
That same woman WAS healed instantly upon immersion in Dead Sea.
Which is why (as mentioned in previous post) I apply a ramie mitt
with strong solution of food-grade H2O2 as preliminary priming of
skin. Since that gives oxygenation to skin, thus healing.
