What worked for me.
I have severe eczema on my hands for the past three years. I started taking
evening primrose oil for almost a year now then I started to take forgot the
name - they are an australian based company - is it superfood. Anyway, it isnt
as bad anymore but I think it takes time to heal. patience and time is a
factor here.

Hi,
I have been taking the supplement Proline (which is the amino acid, L-Proline)
for
a month now and I am very quickly clearing up. It is amazing. My derm., who
has studied the skin for over 50 years, suggested it and his patients have been
having amazing results !! I take 6 in the morning & 6 at night.
PLEASE look into this !! I had a very severe case and tried everything. I
will not use
a steroid ever again. Check with your local health food store. I hope this
helps !!!
Best Wishes.

Hi All,
It’s Maggie again. I take 6 (500 mg capsules) in the a.m. & in the p.m.
prescribed to me by my dermatologist. This is twice the recommended dose on the
bottle. Go to
www.vrp.com and check out their products.

Yes, I’m new to this group and am interested in this. What strength and
also does it intereact with other drugs you’re taking. I’m thinking do I
need to check wth my Dr. or can anyone take this. I take steroids very
sparingly because I’m afraid of them but I have eczema all over and it
pretty much ruined my summer. I was at the beach but never got in the
sun. That was a lot of fun. I’ve started keeping a record of the foods I
eat but I really haven’t changed my habits that much. I had eczema as a
child but pretty much just had problems with my hands until a year ago.
All of a sudden it flared up all over and I have been to 2
dermotologists. One gave me steroids, and the other said they cause
problems and not to take them. He said eczema can’t be cured but it can
be controlled. I had anti-biotics, a shot, anti itching creams etc.
Nothing works for long and I can’t control it. Aveeno with oatmeal helps
my skin feel better and I use it 2 times a day. The only other thing
that helps when I’m scratching so bad is Aqua Phor. It’s so good to
have people who understand. My husband keeps saying to go back to the
Dr. but they have no answers.

I read your advice on Proline. My teenage daughter has severe eczema and nothing
helps, conventional med, alternative med or food elimination, for very long.
This is the first time I have heard of Proline. I assume as your derm
recommended it, its safe? I’m thinnking maybe we should try it.
