Raw Food Diet
Hi There,
I have been on a raw food diet for 11 days now and I am wondering when
does your eczema start to improve? Also, my ezcema is still bad and I
have to use protopic, will this affect the results of the raw food
diet l am on?
Are there certain foods I should avoid while raw? I have read that
acidic foods can make ezcema worse, is this true?
Would really really appreciate your help. I am extremely frustrated
with this whole condition.
Thanks

It’s going to take more than eleven days so dig in for the long haul. I’ve been
on the raw food diet for three years this December. I can tell you that my skin
has improved a thousand-fold because of it and it’s getting better as the months
race by. Clearer skin is just one of the many benefits. I cut out corn, dairy,
and wheat completely along with all cooked food. I was already a vegetarian for
a long time so it was difficult to get through the initial 6 months it but I
did. Holidays with family and friends are very tough. The raw-food
diet/lifestyle is NOT for the faint of heart. I just got tired of being sick all
the time.

Hi Jesse,
Can you please give me abit of an insight into this ‘raw diet’. So you just
eat all your vegies raw? what else does this diet entale?

One of the best books on raw food is The Live Food Factor by Susan
Schenk. There are many schools of thought on raw food and this book
gives an overview of all of them and has lots of before and after
photos.
I eat a lot of raw food and have a green smoothie once a day. 100%
raw is a huge difference from even 90% raw. It’s actually easier.
It’s odd, but I guess you have to experience it!
I’ve been using certified organic skin products for about a year
now, taking probiotic superfood (fixes bowels which affects the skin)
and my skin is very good. Not a single eczema breakout. A few
months ago I started taking liquid zeolite and my skin has been
getting very smooth. I think it’s just healing the last bit of my
liver toxicity. I found out about the zeolite from a raw food guru.

Sharon,
How exactly do you fix your green smoothie? Do you juice greens or is it a
greenfood powder? If so, what brand do you use? I currently juice greens and
carrots, but am interested in trying the green powder supplements I’ve seen.
Also, which probiotic superfood do you use?
Thanks!

I use 30-40% real greens like kale, romaine, baby greens, etc along
with 60-70% fruit such as one apple, some melon, a few frozen
strawberries or whatever is in season or available. I try to use as
much organic as possible. I do add a spoon of In-Liven probiotic
superfood (email me for more info) most of the time just to get the
probiotic/amino acid factor in their as well which is very healing
for the bowels and therefore the skin. I’ve tried adding other
powder greens like barley juice powder but find it doesn’t taste
very good. They taste better on their own. Add some alkaline water
to make it runny enough to blend. It’s really quite a flexible meal
and you can use whatever works best for you but do vary them
somewhat to cover all your nutritional needs. The greens are very
rich in minerals.

i jsut want to know who has the same symptoms i had - i had eczema in my feet
but it never bothered me since it was hidden and my whole body was fine til
it went to my hands which was so embarrassing at one point. my eczema starts
as water bubbles then dries up and cracks then that is when it really really
hurts and it takes forever to heal and when it does the same cycle happens again
now my hands are almost free of eczema - i feel like my life has been given
back to me since we all know having this disease just dont want you to go out
and be seen!

My husbands experience (psoriasis over 98% of his body) no nightshade
vegies…eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, tobacco, and peppers of any kind.
Yes acidics are very bad…you need live an alkaline lifestyle
